Head, Sustainability Assurance
(Hybrid)
As the Sustainability Assurance head, you will grow, lead and manage the delivery of external assurance, GHG verification and internal audit services to clients to ensure that clients' sustainability reports comply with relevant standards and guidelines.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Grow and manage the firm's sustainability assurance and GHG verification practice globally.
- Oversee the ongoing development and implementation of assurance and verification methodology and processes in accordance with required standards.
- Manage assurance and verification engagements, including planning, execution and delivery.
- Ensure that engagements are completed on time, and in compliance with relevant standards and guidelines.
- Deliver assurance and GHG verification training courses offered by the firm.
- Develop and maintain trusted relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Stay up-to-date with developments in sustainability reporting, assurance and verification standards and ethics guidelines.
- Maintain the highest standards of professional integrity and ethics.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Sustainability, Accounting, Business, Engineering or a related field.
- At least 5-7 years of direct experience in sustainability reporting assurance, and/or GHG verification services.
- A thorough understanding of the principles, requirements, and guidelines set forth in the AA1000 Assurance Standard, ISAE 3000 (Revised) Standard is required. An AA1000 assurance practitioner certification will be an advantage.
- Strong auditing and assurance skills, including experience in the design and implementation of audit programs, audit planning, and report writing. Experience in identifying and assessing risk and in evaluating and testing internal controls is essential.
- Demonstrated experience in sustainability report assurance and GHG verification.
- Strong understanding of sustainability reporting standards and guidelines, including GRI, ISSB, SASB, TCFD, CDP and GHG Protocol.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Positive attitude and energy, and resourcefulness.
- Trustworthy, self-starter, and independent.
- High proficiency in MS Office, especially in Excel and PowerPoint and advanced data management.
