Espressif is looking for both junior and senior Embedded software engineers who will participate in projects related to wireless protocol stacks (Wi-Fi / Bluetooth / 802.15.4) or multimedia solutions (algorithms / protocols / applications of video/audio).

To design and develop Espressif's AIoT Chips, SDKs, and solutions. You will be responsible for:

1. Design and develop wireless protocol stacks such as Wi-Fi / Bluetooth / 15.4 and coexistence among them.

2. Develop multimedia algorithms such as H264, JPEG, and audio codecs; Develop multimedia protocols such as DLNA, and VOIP; Develop other components used in Multimedia SDK.

3. Design and implement embedded multimedia solutions based on Wi-Fi/Bluetooth Chips and SDKs, such as voice-controlled loudspeakers and IOT devices.

4. By analyzing, positioning, and solving customer problems, better assist customers in completing product and project development.

Job Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s degree or above, majoring in Computer, Electronic Engineering, Communication, Automation, and other related majors.

2. Proficiency in C/C++ language.

3. Familiar with at least one scripting language, Python is preferred.

4. Familiar with FreeRTOS or another RTOS.

5. Minimum 2-3 years working experience

6. Knowledge of hardware communication protocols: SPI, UART, I2C, I2S.

7. Keen interest in the development of single-chip microcomputers and protocol stacks, experience in complete embedded-related projects or embedded-related competitions is a plus.

8. Have a solid technical foundation for embedded software development, experience in ESP8266 / ESP32 development is preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure all monitoring system of the building management faciities are in good operating condition (error free) and feedback on all alarms and errors generated form BMS.

As an Equipment Engineer, you will own all assigned toolsets. The preferred candidate can troubleshoot difficult and poorly defined problems related to mechanics, electronics, and processes using tool knowledge/experience, SPC, schematics, and other available resources. The candidate will collaborate extensively with the area maintenance team and process engineering. Some collaboration will be with tool vendors, other area engineers/managers, procurement, and production.

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical leadership and management of 200MM and 300MM Semiconductor processing equipment in Support of Main Stream Semiconductor Processes and Advanced Packaging processes. Highly desirable for a candidate to have a background in at least one of the following areas: Photolithography, PVD and CVD Thin Films, Dry Etch, Wet Etch /Wafer Clean, Diffusion, Bond, Electroplate (ECD), CMP, or Metrology (some areas may be combined).

The Aviation Innovation Research (AIR) Lab

The joint CAAS-Thales innovation lab known as ‘AIR Lab’ started to operate on 1st November 2019 with the objective to develop Proof of Concepts (POCs) or Minimum Viable Products (MVPs) of advanced and open technologies for future Air Traffic Management (ATM). Currently, the joint lab employs a team of 40 Thales engineers and 12 CAAS engineers and air traffic controllers operating in a vibrant ecosystem involving several Singaporean SMEs and start-ups, as well as key research institutes.

Thales engineers include 10 domain experts – with more than 10 years of experience – coming from Thales ATM centers of competence in France and Australia. These experts are coaching both the local Thales and CAAS engineers.
