· The RRDA program provides 24/7 technical assistance to ship and offshore floating structure related emergencies such as grounding and collision. When activated, RRDA is an extension of the vessel management team’s own response capability, focusing on the measure of changes occurring to hull strength, stability and the extent to which risk of pollution can be mitigated. This new position is expected to work along with a group of experienced engineers to respond to client service requests when emergencies occur or participate in routine vessel emergency response drills.

• Well versed with local authority codes and regulations
• Minimum 4 years of relevant building structure with civil experience
• Involve in large scale building (HDB/ Condominium/ Commercial) structural design project
• Good exposure in the analysis and design of PPVC, Precast and concrete structures, steel structures
• Good knowledge of the various engineering design software and analytical tools
• Applicant who has lesser experience will consider for Engineer role

Job Description :

· Incremental improvements/development of software modules

· Analyze customer/production issues and implement solutions within the existing machine application (bug fixing).

· Investigate and implement engineering change requests.

· Testing of new releases by simulating processes and on actual equipment.

· Work with version control tools and issue tracking tool for software release management.

· Creates and maintains engineering documentations relating to software development / bug-fix / feature releases following BESI standards and design rules.

· Ensure fast response to customer and production issues.

· Provides engineering support to assigned R&D/CIT projects.

· Install & (beta) test new software release/fix at customer sites (ability to travel needed)

Requirements :

Education

Bachelor Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering (Mechatronic) or Software Engineering

Work experience

At least 3 years relevant experience in automation / equipment industries.

Significant practical experience in software engineering and testing (embedded software and HMI environment).

Experience with agile software development processes, quality control and test driven development

Expertise and methodology

Proficiency in Microsoft (C++, VB6) using Microsoft Visual Studio 6.0 and programming language “C” and “C++”.

Knowledge of UML and state machines; State Transition Diagrams

Very good English skills (verbal and written)

Experience with version control in Mercurial / GIT is a pre

Experience with SECS/GEM is a plus
