We seek a highly skilled and experienced Facility Engineer to oversee the maintenance and operations of our facilities. You will play a crucial role in ensuring functionality, safety, and compliance while leading our maintenance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in mechanical or electrical disciplines and extensive experience in facility management and supervision. Proficiency in English and Mandarin, along with excellent communication and negotiation skills, is essential for liaising with contractors, local authorities, and stakeholders.

RESPONSIBILITIES

· Oversee the maintenance and repair of facility systems, equipment, and infrastructure.

· Supervise contractors, including negotiating pricing, scheduling, and quality control.

· Ensure compliance with local codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.

· Prepare reports on maintenance activities, budget expenditures, and project progress.

· Serve as the primary contact for local authorities, obtaining permits, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

· Develop and implement emergency response procedures.

· Lead and mentor the facility maintenance staff, providing guidance and training.

JOB REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:

· Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical discipline or certification in facility management.

· Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in facility management, with supervisory roles.

· Proficiency in English and Mandarin, with strong communication skills.

· Ability to write reports, plan schedules, negotiate prices, and supervise contractors.

· Familiarity with local codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.

· Class 2 or 3 driving licence required for travel to various facilities.

Job Description

1. Assist the Project Manager with preparation of overall cost and progress reports and other matters related to schedules, cost and materials.

2. Assists the Project Manager and supervise Document Controller to implement systematic document control and filing procedures.

3. Liaise and coordinate with Engineering and Procurement Departments for preparation of monthly progress reports prior to Project Manager’s approval.

4. Coordinate with the Construction department leaders on progress monitoring and recording.

5. Prepare and record change proposals for the contract between Contractor and Client.

6. Assist PM organize tender activities and coordinate in disciplines, vendors for tender preparations

Requirements:

Diploma/Bachelor's degree in any discipline of Engineering

• Manage, design, develop, create and maintain small-scale through to large-scale construction projects in a safe, timely and sustainable manner.

• Conduct on site investigations and analyze data (maps, reports, tests, drawings and other).

• Carry out technical and feasibility studies and draw up blueprints that satisfy technical specifications.

• Assess potential risks, materials and costs.

• Provide advice and resolve creatively any emerging problems/deficiencies.

• Oversee and mentor staff and liaise with a variety of stakeholders.
