Job Description
· Responsible to perform his/her work in accordance to the relevant HSSE regulations and other requirements
· Responsible to comply and adhere with CES_SDC's HSSE Management System requirements
· Responsible to adopt and use the relevant records in the HSSE Management System to conduct checks / inspections, carry out proper record keeping, and submit such records to the CES_SDC's HSSE personnel where required
· Responsible to adhere to the instructions from CES_SDC's HSSE personnel with regards to compliance of HSSE requirements
· Responsible to adhere to the CES_SDC's Policies, HSSE Rules & Regulations, HSSE Risk and Impact Assessment (HSSERIA), Safe Work Procedure (SWP), HSSE Instructions, security instructions, etc
· Responsible to read and understand the HSSERIA, SWP and any other required HSSE documentation for the work operation
· Responsible to discharge his duties in accordance to the Code of Practice for Environmental Control Officer
· Responsible to prepare and submit the Site Environmental Control Programme according to the format required by National Environmental Agency to the workplace's/ project's Manager in-charge for approval
· Responsible to prepare and submit the bi-weekly Site Environmental Control Report according to the format required by National Environmental Agency to the workplace’s/ project’s Manager in-charge for approval
· Responsibilities and duties of the ECO shall emphasize on the following main areas of concern:
- Elimination of disease-bearing insects and rodents
- Ensuring proper disposal of construction waste/ marine clay
- Eliminating noise, air and water pollution
- Eliminating earth littering
- Preventing siltation of drains
· Provision of proper maintenance of septic tank(s)/ holding tank(s), chemical/ portable toilet(s) and other sanitary facilities
· Any other environmental health matters
· Responsible to inspect the workplace/ project to ensure all facilities and equipment relevant to the maintenance of environmental health are in proper working condition and do not pose any environmental health hazard
· Responsible to attend to all feedback on such irregularities and inform the Manager in-charge of such irregularities accordingly
· Responsible to organise campaigns, training courses and other activities with regards to environmental to organise campaigns, training courses and other activities with regards to environmental control
· Other Ad-hoc duties as assigned.
Job Experience
· Registered ECO cum ECMO with minimum 5 years of working experience in a construction firm, preferably experience in LTA /PUB project/HDB/MPA requirement
· Possess Earth Control Measure Officer (ECMO) qualification
· Be dynamic, self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented
· Excellent team spirit, strong technical competence and good interpersonal skills
· Minimum Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma/Degree in Safety, Health and Environment
