The candidate will interact with Clients, Classification and Statutory bodies and Vendors in the process of design. Candidate to be able to prepare the following drawings independently:

Desired Profile

• Min 5 years’ experience of which at least 3 years should be in Marine Design.
• He/She should be conversant with Ship electrical system and classification rules and IEE.
• Skills in Excel, Electrical design software and CAD-tools is required.

Requirements

The EICA Engineer shall be in the discipline of Electrical, Instrumentation & Control in delivery of large scale power generation project. The Engineer shall have at least 10 years of relevant engineering experience in delivery of large scale industrial/ utilities projects (e.g. waste, water, oil & gas, power) or relevant experience in delivering large solid waste management projects (e.g. WTE, sludge incineration, materials recovery and food waste treatment).

The duties shall include the following but not limited to:

• Work as owner’s engineer to lead the EICA project implementation at site.
• Proactive attitude and solution orientated personality with leadership mentality and for the EICA discipline, assisting project director for the contract execution.
• Strong capability of specification capability for all I&C related specification. e.g. DCS / PLC system configuration, topology and controller, RIO engineering.
• In depth of understanding for automation package for contract implementation of automation systems for WtE project.
• Contracts management in the I & C discipline for the WtE project
• Review the submittals from Contractors for Process Control like Waste Reception system, Incinerator-Boiler System, Water Steam Cycle, weighbridge system, building services, Enterprise Resources Planning, Communication Network Infrastructure, DCS, PLC etc.
• Essential understanding of P&ID of process engineering
• Engage in Technical discussion for all control system related issue with contractor and client
• Participate in HAZOP review, SIL safety and design for safety workshops
• Work with electrical team closely for all power and process interfaces
• Participation of FAT of automation equipment, DCS, PMS, PLC and RIO
• Provide Technical support in Testing and Commissioning of the plant

Job Requirements:

• A relevant Engineering Degree recognized by the Professional Engineers Board (PEB) or registration with the Joint Accreditation Committee of the Institution of Engineers Singapore (IES) / Association of Consulting Engineers Singapore (ACES).
• At least 10 years of relevant experience in design and construction of large infrastructure and/or industrial projects, waste to energy plants, power plant projects, or waste/water management projects in Singapore is preferred but overseas/international experience will be considered as relevant.

Responsibilities

• Assist/support Topsides Engineering Project Manager in managing engineering work including engineering deliverables, man-hour and schedule control, mainly in multi-disciplinary topsides design related activities and to ensure work performed on the project is in accordance with company quality, systems and safety requirements;

• Responsible for ensuring that all topsides design activities meet work scope & comply with Project Quality Plan.

• Understand and monitor all interfaces with Class Society (if topside is classed) / other regulatory bodies and Clients to ensure requirements are properly addressed and relevant documents are reviewed timely.
• Assist topsides EPM in preparing project close-out, including as-built documentation and engineering close-out reports.
• Tack and coordinate changes with Discipline Leads ensuring team members follow the management of change process (MOC); ensure recorded changes are followed through.
• Proactively identify and monitor areas likely to change to reduce the “surprise” element, added costs and delays to project.
• Coordinate the interfaces with subcontractors and third party consultants and ensure all changes are captured through MOC process
