Key Responsibilities

• Arrive on duty punctually in a clean and neat appearance.

• Be responsible for the daily briefing of the dining club staff about new promotions, menu items, functions, internal news etc.
• Handle promptly any guest complaints and report accordingly.
• Recommend improvements in methodology, equipment, or staff to improve service.
• Attend scheduled management meetings.
• Work closely with other managers and across other departments in the coordination of functions and other matters of the dining club to ensure smooth management of the venue.
• Participate in any personal development, training, or other programs that the Operations Manager may ask you to take part in.
• Delegate as appropriate the various aspects of the position of Assistant Manager, at the same time ensuring the accurate execution of these tasks.

• Ensure that all occupants are familiar with the means of escape located within the premises
• Prepare fire safety guidebooks for the occupants of the premises; train, co-ordinate and supervise the Company Emergency Response Team for the premises in first-aid, fire-fighting and evacuation in the event of fire or other related emergencies
• Train the occupants in first aid, firefighting and evacuation in the event of fire or other related emergencies
• Co-ordinate and supervise the occupants within the premises in firefighting and in evacuation in the event of fire or other related emergencies
• Supervise the operation of the Fire Command Centre in the event of fire or other related emergencies
• Conduct at least 2 Table-Top Exercises within the premises each year and to evaluate, together with the Fire Safety Committee, the effectiveness of the Arson Prevention Plan and the Emergency Response Plan for the premises
• Prepare and implement the Arson Prevention Plan for the premises
• Notify the Commissioner of SCDF immediately upon the occurrence of any fire incident in the premises
• Organise campaigns, training courses, competitions, contests and other activities which will develop and maintain the interest of the occupants within the premises in establishing a fire safe environment
• Carry out such other duties as the Commissioner may require
• Conduct fire risk assessment of the premises:

a) at least once in every 3 years

b) whenever the Senior Fire Safety Manager becomes aware of any change in work processes or work activities at the premises which is likely to increase the fire risk at the premises; and

c) whenever the Commissioner directs a fire risk assessment to be carried out

• Perform checks to ensure that any fire safety works using alternative solutions meet the requirements set out in the operations and maintenance manual, if any
• Any other duties/tasks as directed by the Management

Requirements:

• Registered Senior Fire Safety Manager with SCDF
• Diploma/Degree with minimum 4 years of relevant working experience
• Proficient in English (spoken and written)
• Good computer literacy and proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• Strong communication skills
• Good organizational and problem solving skills
• Meticulous and able to multi-task and work in fast-paced environment
• Consistently participating in the Continual Profession Development programmes as a certified Senior FSM
• Able to work independently and as a team
• Certified in M&E and/or Facility Management will be advantageous
• Preferably with prior experience in migrant workers dormitory or managing large group of migrant workers
