Overview
We are looking for a motivated and versatile Product & UX Manager to join our team and play a pivotal role in shaping exceptional user experiences while driving the success of our product roadmap.
As a Product & UX Manager of Alola, you will act as the bridge between design, development, and business strategy. You’ll lead the user experience (UX) design process while managing the product lifecycle, ensuring the delivery of user-centric, scalable, and impactful products tailored to travellers needs. This hybrid role demands a mix of creative design thinking, product management expertise, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
On the technical side, you will work closely with AI engineers, and front-end developers to create a seamless, intuitive, and immersive travel experience that encourages exploration and personalization. On the creative side, you will collaborate with the marketing team to design user experience elements that reflect marketing campaigns and brand values, ensuring consistency across marketing channels and the platform that enhance customers’ usage and drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Product Management:
- Define and prioritize the product roadmap aligned with business goals and customer needs.
- Write clear product requirements and user stories, ensuring technical feasibility and clarity for the development team.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize features and work closely with development team to ensure seamless integration of these user-friendly features
- Manage the product lifecycle from concept to launch, ensuring timely delivery and high quality.
- Act as the main point of contact for cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment between design, development, marketing, and sales.
User Experience (UX):
- Conduct user research, interviews, and usability testing to gather insights into customer needs and pain points during trip planning, booking and post travel experiences.
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and user flows to visualize and test design concepts to enhance customer journeys.
- Collaborate with developers to ensure consistent and seamless user experiences.
- Analyze user feedback and behavioral data to optimize product usability.
Strategic Leadership:
- Identify market trends, competitor strategies, and opportunities to drive product innovation.
- Advocate for user-first design while aligning with business goals such as increasing conversions and customer retention.
- Advocate for the customer’s voice in all stages of product development.
- Set success metrics and track product performance post-launch.
Requirements
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in Product Management and UI/UX Design.
• Strong proficiency in wireframing and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or InVision.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and product management tools such as Jira, Trello or Asana.
• Strong understanding of customer journey mapping and customers pain points.
• Exceptional analytical skills and the ability to translate insights into actionable plans.
• Experience working with front-end developers to translate designs to life.
• Familiarity with interactive design patterns and user-centered design processes.
• Experience conducting usability tests, gathering user feedback, and iterating on designs.
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating across teams and with external stakeholders.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, start-up environment.
• Experience in the travel industry or e-commerce platforms will be added advantage.
