Business Development Manager Role Overview

This role involves strategically aligning with Cloud Service Providers (CSP) to build demand through a defined group of Cloud Service Resellers (CSR) and Managed Service Providers (MSP). The position requires close collaboration with the Business Unit Manager – Cloud to ensure effective business planning and growth.

Key responsibilities include:

• Meeting and exceeding CSP and revenue targets by uncovering and developing net-new business opportunities with existing resellers or through new reseller partnerships.
• Managing end-user engagement, often in conjunction with a defined reseller partner, and occasionally working directly with end users to identify opportunities that can be pulled through the channel.
• Identifying initiatives to enhance profitability for CSPs and aligning with their strategic goals.
• Collaborating with the marketing team to develop sales and marketing initiatives aimed at driving incremental revenue streams for CSPs. This includes CSP-driven programs, KPI/MBO planning, channel sales enablement, and training or pre-sales support.
• Have a dedicated focus to deliver ‘Net New Sales’ revenue and margin
• Develop the ‘Net New’ pipeline and manage forecast reporting out of CRM
• Drive adoption of our BlueSky platform by all CSR’s
• Be primarily an outbound resource (up to 80% of your time) that maintains a high call cycle across our reseller and end user channel, developing and maintaining high quality relationships with key business influencers.
• Be responsible for the end to end sales cycle from inception to closure of opportunity.
• Focus on net new lines of CSP technology and actively promote these
• Technically articulate and astute with the ability of apply technological competitive advantage to win deals
• Own, maintain and grow strong business relationships between Westcon-Comstor, our CSP’s and our joint reseller customers
• Understand and/or build new markets for our CSP portfolio
• In conjunction with the Business Unit and Sales Managers deliver the Strategic Business plan, in consultation with key stakeholders from Westcon-Comstor and our CSP’s
• Identify and qualify strategic channel partners for our CSP’s in conjunction with the Sales team
• Drive CSP’s take up of certification programs.
• Ensure that our CSP’s become core business for the jointly agreed channel partners.
• Utilise CSP and Westcon-Comstor resources to deliver sales and pre-sales training
• Assist in growing our CSP’s market penetration in New Zealand.
• Grow renewal and annuity revenue, where applicable.

Key Responsibilities

• Apply Group and Country CDD policies and processes (AML surveillance, client screening, risk assessment) to manage risks.
• Provide CDD advisory in client level to business in relations to AML/CTF matters
• Assess risks arising from products / segments / geographies / customers / transactions.
• Timely escalation of issues and ensure that necessary actions are taken quickly to remediate and/or activities are ceased.
• Undertake enhanced due diligence on new and existing medium/higher risk
• Review and/ or escalate new or emerging areas of risks for all clients and Group Sensitive Clients relevant clients such as adverse media/sanctions review
• Timely review of customer’s profile and related risk in relation to AML/CFT matter
• Make recommendations to relevant stakeholders on possible risk management responses to identified risks and/ or findings of concern from investigations- at client and portfolio level
• Escalation point for generic procedure related enquiries.
• Manage escalations on issues requiring additional assessment and controls.
• For Audit (Internal & external), manage checks, queries and any other information requested by auditors.
• Review and manage monthly assurance check and complete submission on time
• Assist Line Manager to keep track of and provide advice to relevant stakeholders on the interpretation and application of policies related to CDD

JOB SUMMARY :

To manage, lead and oversee all aspects of daily operations for all manufacturing, manufacturing support and administrative functions needed to support shipyard operations. Responsibilities include, project execution including maintaining quality standards, cost effectiveness and time management to ensure projects are on time and within budget.

KEY RESPONSIBILITY :

1. Manage team and provides supervision to supervisors and foremen.

2. Directs activities in areas of safety and personnel, production, scheduling, material handling and quality and ensures compliance with all Safety, Quality, Company and Regulatory directives.

3. Directs and coordinates shipyard operations within company policies and procedures.

4. Responsible for providing the quantity and quality of workers to meet schedule and budget. With assistance of Senior Manager, trains assigned craft supervisors in safety, cost control, job skills, quality and scheduling.

5. Directs all phases of Hydro blasting, spray painting, power tooling, and cleaning work.

6. Creates and prioritizes necessary resources and steps required to accomplish goals on time.

7. Determines plant improvements and repairs along with costs and schedules.

8. Ensures product quality control goals are met and maintained as per the shipyard policies.

REQUIREMENTS :

1. Minimum 12 years’ experience in managerial role or other management level responsibilities in a shipyard environment.

2. In depth knowledge of all business functions associated with shipyard management.

3. Ability to understand and administer Classification guidelines

4. Ability to apply Continuous Improvement strategies across all functions.

5. Considerable knowledge in all areas of shipbuilding and repair, material handling, labour, safety and product related state and federal regulations and practices.

6. Proactive with good problem-solving skills, resourceful and able to work towards deadlines with right sense of urgency

7. Possess good communication and interpersonal skills with outstanding proficiency in English and Tamil.
