Key Responsibilities:
o Evaluate the credit risk of individual borrowers and portfolios, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
o Assess and monitor the performance of loan portfolios, with a focus on identifying and mitigating potential risks.
o Develop strategies to manage and reduce non-performing loans (NPLs).
o Collaborate with stakeholders to restructure loans and negotiate repayment terms.
o Track and report recovery efforts, ensuring adherence to legal and regulatory frameworks.
o Analyze distressed assets and recommend recovery strategies.
o Support asset valuation and implement effective recovery mechanisms.
o Assist in legal proceedings and liaise with external recovery agents, if necessary.
o Apply financial mathematics, statistical modeling, and time series analysis to identify trends and patterns in credit risk data.
o Develop and validate predictive models for default probability, credit exposure, and loss given default (LGD).
o Extract and analyze data from multiple sources to support decision-making.
o Create detailed reports and dashboards to present findings to senior management.
o Continuously enhance data quality and analysis processes.
o Ensure compliance with local and international credit risk regulations.
o Propose and implement measures to enhance risk control frameworks and minimize credit exposure.
Qualifications and Skills:
o Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
o Proficiency in statistical tools and software such as R, Python, SAS, or MATLAB.
o Minimum of 1 year of experience in risk / finance domain.
o Experience with SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
o Familiarity with financial modeling techniques, including time series analysis and forecasting.
o Strong understanding of credit risk principles, loan structuring, and asset recovery strategies.
o Knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as Basel III is preferred.
o Ability to analyze complex datasets and derive actionable insights.
o Strong aptitude for quantitative and statistical analysis.
