· Preparation of measurement sheets and detailed quantity take-off based on drawings and documents for tender and on-going projects.

· Prepare request for quotation packages to be sent to Suppliers and Subcontractors.

· Evaluate and formulate bill of quantities for direct and indirect costs.

· Sourcing suppliers and subcontractors for tender and on-going projects.

· Construct and assess comparison sheets for quotations from Suppliers and Subcontractors.

· Procurement of materials as per issued fabrication or shop drawings.

· Preparation and submission of variation order quotation.

· Submission of progression claims to client and follow up for payment response.

· Preparation, checking and monitoring project budget.

· Evaluation and verification of supplier and subcontractor claims.

Requirements

Experience in Pre & Post tender

At least 5 Years of working experience in the related field is required for this position

Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Engineering (Civil) or equivalent.

Experience in structural steel and miscellaneous metals

Strong analytical, written, and verbal skills.

Strong computer skills, including AutoCad, MS Office

Ability to multi-task in a fast paced and dynamic environment

Highly motivated, self-driven with initiatives to work independently

Job Description:

• Assist in purchasing of all project work materials identified in the tender
• Assist in evaluating and selecting competent suppliers and sub-contractors for the construction works.
• Measure and determine the amounts of work done at any stage of the construction so as to prepare periodic progress payment requests for submission to client.
• Check and evaluate the progress claims submitted by the sub-contractors in liaison with Project Manager / designated staff on the work done in terms of quantities and quality.
• Carry out contract administration duties.
• Assist in the settlement of final accounts with client, suppliers and subcontractors.

Job Requirements:

• Candidate must possess at least Diploma/Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Engineering (Civil), Engineering (Others) or equivalent.
• At least 5 Year(s) of working experience in Construction field is required for this position.

Job Functions:

• Responsible to manage costs relating to the projects from the initial calculations to the final figures.
• Report directly to Senior QS/Contract Manager for cost loading submission.
• Actively review and understand key aspects of the request for proposal or project contract. Implement estimating methods that support the requirements.
• Develop and estimate budget based on proposed design and construction requirements.
• Taking off bill of quantity of the project, coordination with client and consultants. Project cost budgeting and cost control.
• Subcontract analysis and procurement, building materials requirement planning, requisition and sourcing/calling out for quotations.
• Prepares comparison of subcontractors’ quotations
• Procurement for Sub-contract works; call quotation, evaluate the quotation, meeting with all tender price negotiation, awarding and etc
• To minimise the costs of projects assigned and enhance value for tendering, taking off bill of quantity of the project.
• Coordination with client and consultants, project cost budgeting and cost control.
• Take-off quantities for tender (structural, architectural works and external works), architect’s instruction (AI’s), engineer’s instruction and sub-contractor’s final measurements.
• Define the aspects and relationships of risk, cost, and quantities on the project. Identify and document specific areas of risk and key quantities and their effect on cost.

Job Requirements:

• To be successful in this role, you need to have a Degree in Quantity Surveying.
• Documented history working within any building construction, civil & infrastructure, data centre, pharmaceutical, industrial plant projects.
• Strong sense of leadership, able to motivate and work with team members to deliver project deliverables.
• A proven track record of successful project implementation in construction industry.
