Job Responsibilities:

• Control project scope to meet project objectives in order to enhance project deliverables and key work activities.

…Before a project starts?

At the start of any project, a quantity surveyor will study drawings and specifications around a new building. This process enables you to calculate the quantity of materials required for the build. Additionally, this data will be used to provide early cost advice, to budget and benchmark the project, and to prepare life cycle cost plans.

Primary Roles:

• Manage the financial aspects of construction projects, ensure completed within the allocated budget
• Equipped with professionalism, to provide support to the project team, maintaining commercial information and ensuring compliance with contractual requirements and ensure that the Company’s objectives are achieved. Liaise with customer representatives and other third parties on commercial issues including agreement of variations, claims, and any additional payments.

Cost Control and Monitoring: Monitor project costs to ensure align with the budget, track expenses, review invoices, and manage payment processes

Contract Administration: Administer contracts between client, contractors, and subcontractors, ensure comply with the terms and conditions of the contract, including payment schedules, variations, and claims

Value Engineering: Collaborate with design, construction team to optimize project costs, propose alternative materials, construction methods, design modifications that offer cost savings

• Prepare and go through progress claim with CM with updated subcontractor payment status, progress claim summary and relevant subcontractor VO claim / abortive work

4. Progress Payment

• Keep subcontractor's claim / invoice / DO file
• Verify and get endorsement of PM, CM and PD on one-time payments and pass to a/c to process payment and maintain summary of one-time payments
• Conducting site assessment (when required)
• Preparation of payment response / certificate, breakdown, payment summary, remarks, recovery summary of advance payment if there is any and other supporting documents
• Get approval from PM, CM and PD – prepare a complete set of subcontractor payment response / certificate together with consultant assessment, other supporting documents, payment file and go through payments with PM, CM and PD
• Fill up monthly cash flow report prior to 1st payment assessment and submit to CM by 20th of each month

5. Variation Order

• Updating records of VO - VO master list (w/- & w/o- Architect’s Instruction)
• Coordination with site for project manager’s assessment of VO
• Preparation and submission of VO assessment incorporating VO checklist form for CM, PM and PD’s approval
• Submission of VO to consultant
• Coordinating with subcontractor & client on the submission of quotation

6. Finalization of Account

• List of subcontractors required for measurement of quantity
• List of subcontractors to be finalized before the main contractor
• Compilation of checklist for finalization
• Preparation of final account and get CM, PM and PD’s approval and submission of final account to client
• Prepare subcon final account and release of retention to get CM, PM and PD’s approval and update summary
• Submission of outstanding product Warranty Card, Operation Menu, Test Cert. etc.

Job Responsibilities

• Support the Senior Quantity Surveyor or Contracts Manager in overseeing all quantity surveying tasks related to Sub-Contracts, Works Orders, and Purchase Orders for assigned projects.

• Manage contractual and costing matters, such as verifying invoices for payment, assessing contractors' claims for variation works, extension of time, loss and expense, final account and handling of contractual disputes.

• Coordinate post-tender interviews between tenderers, construction team, QS team and contracts team.
• Assist QS manager and contracts manager with quantity surveying matters relevant to Sub-Contract, Works Order and Purchase Order.
• Assist contracts team in administration of subcontracts.
• Handle payment requests received from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Responsible for quantity calculation of construction drawings, preliminary material research and market survey.
• Assist to evaluate and process vendor claims as needed.
• Any other adhoc tasks assigned by QS Manager / Contracts Manager.

Job Requirements:

• Min. Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field of studies.
• At least 3 years of experience, preferably in Quantity Surveying.
• Experienced working as Main Contractor
• Willing work at West area
• Exprerience in Marine Project is prefered
• Able to work under pressure and work under minimal supervision.

Job Responsibilities:

• Understanding the requirement of tender document
• Exercise collaborative plan and define extend of works
• Understanding and achieve within timelines
• Timely management of tender activities
• General duty include measurement of quantity, collect quotation, cost comparison and participate in prepare tender price
• Review of quotations with the specification designed
• Review of the quantity from each buddies, cross check for possible item that may have overlook
• Proof reading of tender responses to highlight areas for incorporation of quantity and ensure issuance to stake holders to quote for works
• Negotiate price with Subcontractor/partnership
• Review of cost impact (Value Engineering proposal/ Variations)

Job Requirements:

• Possess a Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying/Building or equivalent
• Minimum 1-2 years of working experience in Singapore building construction industry with the Main contractor preferred
• Experience in tendering work
• Sound computer literacy including advanced skills in Excel.

must have at least 2 years experiences as Quantity surveyor, able to communicate well with all level of people and subcontractors and suppliers, able to call quote and awardto subcontractors till completion of projects, Able to do the tender independently will be an advantage.
