A summary of the responsibilities of this position are, and not limited to, as follows:

• Ensure accurate measurement of quantities to assist in the preparation of progress payment claims, variation order claims and payments to subcontractors and suppliers including all final accounts.
• Involve in preparing regular cost reports including maintenance budget cost controls.
• Assist in maintaining good documentation of events at site for variation order / EOT claims.
• Assist in the procurement of sub-contractors and suppliers of specified materials.
• Attend technical meetings to keep abreast of design development issues and provide cost escalation alerts.
• Learn and be adequately briefed on the contractual / legal rights of the Main Contractor in order to advise colleagues at site and the management on any choke points during the project.
• Adherence to safety practices in the workplace.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Education: Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building or Civil Engineering
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of working experience in tendering, estimating and measurement of quantities in civil projects in Singapore
• Good analytical skills

• Attend tender interviews

Job Requirement

• Min Diploma in Quantity Surveying

• Required language(s): English

• Preferably Junior Executive specialized in Quantity

Surveying or equivalent.

This role supports procurement and contract management by preparing RFQ/Open Tender documents, sourcing tenderers, coordinating queries, and assisting with subcontract administration, payment requests, and quantity surveying matters, while also performing ad-hoc tasks as assigned.

Job Description

• Liaise with construction team to prepare document for Request for Quotation (RFQ) or Open Tender
• Source potential tenderers/subcontractors and send out invitation for RFQs
• Coordinate queries and clarifications between tenderers and construction team during RFQ stage
• Coordinate post-tender interviews between tenderers, construction team, QS team and contracts team
• Assist QS manager and contracts manager with quantity surveying matters relevant to Sub-Contract, Works Order and Purchase Order.
• Assist contracts team in administration of subcontracts
• Handle payment request received from subcontractors and suppliers
• Ensure clear and substantiated verbal and written communication to internal and external stakeholders
• Any other adhoc tasks assigned by QS Manager / Contracts Manager

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Quantity Survey, Civil Engineering, Engineering; Possess the relevant tertiary qualifications in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or Contract/Construction Law.
• Min. 3 years’ experience in quantity surveying and sub-contract administration of Construction Project.(fresh graduates with strong potential are encouraged to apply!)
• Strong attention to detail, good analytical skills, and a passion for cost management and project analysis
• Experience in large-scale process construction projects.
• Computer Knowledge eg. Excel, powerpoint, words
