• Responsible for the full suite of M&E Quantity Surveyor duties, from tender to pre-contract, post contract administration duties such as: review of contracts, quantity take-offs, preparing bills of quantities, sourcing and selecting of subcontractors, particularly for M&E disciplines.

To support our growth, we require Quantity Surveyor cum Admin Executive to assist to:

· Monitor and manage the overall construction cost, including subcontractors’ progress billing, construction expenses and cost of variation order.

· Clarify the details of scope of work and technical issues with clients / sub-contractors.

· Liaise with technical team to ensure quotations are aligned with specifications and construction method.

· Tender quantity taking off and calling/preparing quotation.

· Manage extension of time and costs claims.

· Review and prepare agreements for award to subcontractors and suppliers.

· Prepare and submit progress claims, weekly and monthly progress cost control, cashflow and claims reports.

· Monitor and follow up with client/ maincon on payment certification status and payment.

· Assist in preparation of documents e.g. purchase order.

· Perform data-entry and maintain company records.

· Assist company to reach out to potential clients e.g. cold-emailing and follow up.

· Conduct research (and compile data as needed), periodic & ad-hoc check for information online or with vendor.

· Perform other administrative duties as assigned.

Requirements:

· Diploma/Degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management or Engineering.

· Minimum 3 years relevant experience in building construction environment.

· Proficient in MS Office and Costing management reporting.

· Proactive, resourceful, motivated and attentive to details.

· Strong negotiation, interpersonal skills and a team player.

· Those with lesser experience will be considered for Junior appointment.

• Follows up on the pre and post-contract administration of projects assigned;
• Prepares tender bid documents;
• Reviews work specifications, take-off quantity, costing and liaise with contractors and suppliers;
• Understands the contractual terms and works to ensure that other stakeholders such as Project Team Members, Accounts and Finance understands and complies with the terms;
• Assists the Senior/Commercial Managers with all daily commercial operations including coverage of duties in their absence;
• Provides effective support to Project Team and establishing good working relationship with Project Managers, Clients, contractors and sub-contractors;
• Assists in resolving contractual and commercial issues with clients, contractors and suppliers;
• Co-ordinates the procurement of materials and suppliers for the projects and ensuring expenses within budget;
• Assists to evaluate contractors and sub-contractors’ bids and recommends awards for contracts as appropriate;
• Monitors closely the project costs and puts up project cost reports on a scheduled and ad-hoc basis;
• Ensures effective cost control of projects and that all purchases are within budgets;
• Attends to all contract administration matters and maintains proper documentation of the project;
• Attends site and other meetings as required.

Requirements:

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or Engineering related studies
• At least 5 - 8 years of working experiences in Quantity surveying
• Experience in handling building construction projects will be advantageous
