The Department of Cardiac Radiology provides the patients of NHCS with diagnostic radiological imaging services and invasive cardiology procedure imaging services. Diagnostic radiological imaging includes general radiography, mobile radiography and CT scans. The CT team provides specialised Cardiac Scans for diagnostic, pre-procedural and surgical planning.

As part of the invasive cardiac angiography team, you will assist in procedures such as Coronary Angiography and Percutaneous Transluminal Coronary Angioplasty (PTCA) at the Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratory and Hybrid Operating Theatre.

As a radiographer in Cardiac Radiology, you might be required to perform afternoon shift work as well as be on-call for emergency cases on a rotational basis. You might also participate in patient feedback, as well as quality management initiatives and programmes.

• Responsible for general housekeeping of the allocated diagnostic centre.
• Render prompt and courteous service delivery to external and internal customers.
• Ensure efficient running and operations of their area of responsibility.
• Assist the Radiographer-In-Charge / Senior or Principal Radiographer to ensure quality control procedures are performed diligently.
• Ensure AHPC certification is achieved after one / two years depending on qualification.

Job Requirements:

• Recognized degree in Diagnostic Radiography.
• Professional Licence: R1 license with Centre for Radiation Protection and Nuclear Sciences, National Environment Agency.
• Timely update and renewal of RI license.
• Registration with Allied Health Professions Council.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Complete all assigned tasks in an organized and timely manner.
• Service orientated and customer focused.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
• Effective communications and coaching skills.
• Good team player.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Mammography and ultrasound experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate in vernacular languages
• Knowledge of basic programming and advanced applications of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint will be an added advantage.
• Knowledge of NGEMR, Epic usage and RISPACS would be an additional advantage.

Job Responsibilities

· Be an integral part of the team that provides friendly service to patients

· Involves using technological equipment such as ultrasound, Xray, MRI, CT, mammogram and others

· Responsible for preparing and safely positioning of patients to obtain the most accurate images

· Explain to patients regarding the imaging procedures and offer them support, reassurance during the scan

· Address to any patients' inquiries/concerns

· Ensure that all work complies with established safety rules, regulations and procedures

· Conduct regularly inspection on all diagnostic equipment to ensure they are functional and operate efficiently

· Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by Imaging Manager

Requirements

· Minimum a Diploma / Degree in Medical Imaging / Radiography or equivalent

· Service-oriented with good listening and communication skills

· 5.5 days’ work week (Monday to Friday; Saturday half day)

Job Description:

• Responsible for interpreting the images and diagnosing illnesses and injuries
• Assessing patients and their clinical requirements to determine appropriate radiographic techniques
• Performing a range of radiographic examinations on patients to produce high-quality images
• Assisting in more complex radiological examinations under the supervision of a radiologist and senior staff
• Supervising assistant practitioners, students and other staff, and delivering appropriate training

Requirements:

• Degree in Radiography / Medical Imaging / Sonography or equivalent from a recognized institution
• Able to work in a team or independently
