Responsibility
Provide engineering support in coordination of sales efforts with PTC account managers and PTC partners for strategic sales efforts, including:
· Engage with customers to understand their requirements and pain points.
· Investigate current business processes to identify problems, complexities, non-value-added steps, and inefficiencies that can be improved.
· Present PTC solutions to different levels of an organization, from executives to technical staff, with the ability to alter the presentation style based on the audience present.
· Use demonstration environments that have been personally configured to ensure the customer can see themselves at the center of the demonstration.
· Translate technical capabilities and map these to values propositions that resonate with customers’ pain points.
· Respond to RFIs/RFPs in a concise, well thought out manner.
· Understand sales methodologies (e.g., MEDDICC, Command of the Message) to be able to support the sales team in the execution of the sales lifecycle, particularly in early sales qualification/prove stages.
· Become a trusted partner what works alongside the sales team.
· Collaborate with local and global PTC teams to ensure that best practices, use cases, market information, etc. are shared and leveraged.
· Act as the opportunity team leader to coordinate the engagement of global technical resources on local opportunities.
· Act as a thought leader for Digital Transformation for manufacturing companies in sales/marketing activities, conferences, seminars, industry events, etc.
Drive successful adoption and expansion of PTC solutions:
· Work closely with customers IT teams to ensure successful deployment and implementation.
· Track customer solution usage and adoption to ensure ongoing customer satisfaction and retention.
Skill Set
· Possess comprehensive engineering & discrete manufacturing process knowledge.
· Demonstrate a proven track record of presales engineering and/or implementation of complex software solutions.
· Experience with PTC products is a plus (specifically Windchill and Creo), or experience with similar solutions.
· Proficient in PLM and related technologies.
· Ability to understand technical configurations and customizations.
· Being able to build a wide network of internal peers and coordinate input from these peers to deliver complex solutions.
· Curiosity outside of your core expertise.
· Able to track changes and developments in a fast-paced software development environment and integrate these into future presentations and responses.
· Able to prioritise and manage conflicting project schedules.
· Able to work independently and ensure that deadlines/expectations are met.
