The Technical Team Lead leads the discipline team to develop the design of large water infrastructure project to enable the safe and successful project delivery to the client in accordance with the contract requirements. You will prioritise and direct the design work, lead the Design Team to develop the preliminary and detailed design of the project. You will be responsible for the overall technical accuracy and adequacy of the design and provides oversight for interdisciplinary and inter-package coordination across the whole project. As the Technical Team Lead, you will rely on your in-depth expertise in your own job discipline and broad knowledge of other job disciplines within the organisation to drive the project outcomes. In the role, you shall anticipate internal and or external business challenges, vendor and/or regulatory issues and recommend process, product or service improvements, solve unique and complex problems that have a broad impact on the business.

This role will work with the Project Manager and Engineering Manager in the delivery of the project in all aspects including the overall quality, schedule, cost, HSE and human relations amongst the team members across delivery offices. As one of the lead representatives of Jacobs to the Client for information or decision relative to the assigned project, you will act as a key point of contact for the Project with the client, subcontractors and contractors, including progress reporting, safety, financial recommendations, quality control and design development, implementation and change management. The Technical Lead acts as a "hands-on" manager in a complex network of interrelated activities necessary to move technical and engineering information forward to complete the design, construction and initial operations of the project facilities. Together with Project Manager and Engineering Manager to be accountable for the financial performance of the design tasks, and drive delivery on the key commercial performance objectives. The essential duties and responsibilities of the Technical Team Lead include:

• Ultimately responsible for design team technical performance, resourcing and design program.
• Responsible for the delivery and integration of the discipline design packages to ensure a complete design is delivered.
• Ensure technical conformance of the design to the Client’s specifications, and all applicable standards, regulations, and legislation by assuring that the quality processes are undertaken.
• Provides support, guidance, and direction to Design Leads, Package Leads and Discipline Professionals to facilitate the effective delivery of the project objectives.
• Review of all deliverables from the Design and Package Leads for quality and cohesiveness prior to issue to the Client, Stakeholders and Contractor(s).
• Approval and issue of all design deliverables, documentation and correspondence to Client, Stakeholders and Contractor(s).
• Responsible for identification of design changes to scope of work and immediately inform PM and EM.
• Responsible for immediate reporting to PM and EM of risks arising from inadequate levels of resourcing to meet schedule, time delays, cost overruns, scope changes, technical issues, etc.
• Day-to-day management of technical aspects for project risk register.

To be a successful candidate you shall possess:

• Minimum Degree in Civil Engineering. Registered as a Professional Engineer (PEB) and/or Chartered Engineer will be an added advantage.
• Minimum 12 years of proven experience in delivering large-scale infrastructure projects. Experience in Water Infrastructure projects will be an added advantage.
• Prior experience working on PUB projects will be an added advantage.
• The ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team and act as a consultant to our Client.

Main Purpose of the Job:

The Lead Resident Technical Officer represents clients on construction sites. He/She must be able to read and interpret architectural drawings and details of construction projects and ensures that construction projects follow contracts and regulations. He/She shall be working under the control and direction of the appointed Qualified Person(s) when carried out his/her duties for the assigned project. He/She works indoors at project site’s office, and may also work outdoors at the project construction sites when required.

• Cultivate and enhance relationships with appointed Dealers/Trade Partners.
• Manage and monitor sales targets for Dealers/Trade Partners to achieve assigned sales goals.
• Achieve the company's monthly and yearly sales budgets and targets.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Business Management or a related field.
• At least 2-3 years of sales experience in both B2B and B2C within the home appliances industry.
• Willingness to travel overseas a few times a year.
• Proven track record of strong sales performance.
• Excellent negotiation and problem-solving abilities.
• High commitment level and a strong sales-driven mindset.
• Strategic leader and team player, with a proactive approach.
• Demonstrated leadership qualities and a willingness to go the extra mile.
• Highly organized, independent, and resourceful.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
