Position: Business Development Specialist
The Company is a premier distributor of luxury fragrances, representing some of the world’s most exclusive brands. We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional products and personalized service to our partners in retail, hospitality, and bespoke channels. As part of our growth strategy, we are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Specialist to join our team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Client Acquisition & Relationship Management
- Identify and target high-end retail outlets, boutique stores, and exclusive distribution channels for luxury fragrance products.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, ensuring a deep understanding of their needs and preferences.
- Present product portfolios and conduct negotiations with decision-makers to secure distribution deals.
- Support the development of retailer marketing strategy and own the go-to-market across all touchpoints (in-store, digital, out-of-store, social, influencer, media, etc.), partnering closely with global marketing, brand management, and sales.
Sales & Revenue Optimization
- Develop and implement tailored sales strategies to achieve revenue and profitability goals.
- Drive upselling and cross-selling opportunities with existing clients.
- Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to align on promotional strategies and product launches.
Brand Advocacy
- Represent the company at luxury industry events, trade shows, and networking forums to promote the brand portfolio.
- Act as a brand ambassador, ensuring alignment with the premium image and reputation of the company.
Market Research & Strategic Expansion
- Conduct in-depth market analysis to identify opportunities in luxury retail and emerging markets.
- Monitor competitor activities, luxury market trends, and customer preferences to inform strategic decisions.
- Develop and execute business expansion plans for new territories and untapped market segments.
Reporting & Analytics
- Prepare detailed sales forecasts, business performance reports, and client account reviews for senior management.
- Utilize CRM tools to track sales pipelines and maintain accurate client data.
REQUIREMENT
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- 3–10 years’ of experience in business development or sales, preferably in the luxury retail, fragrance, or cosmetics sectors.
- Deep understanding of the luxury market and consumer behaviour with knowledge of fragrance products, trends, key customers and competitors on a regional and global level.
- Experience developing and delivering strategic vision for the fragrance category
- Experience building credibility and relationships with clients which includes an understanding of client strategy, priorities and launch processes.
- Demonstrated success in managing high-value client accounts and achieving revenue targets.
- Experience developing and delivering compelling and strategic presentations
- Proactive problem-solving skills.
- Must be comfortable and adaptable to entrepreneurial environment as well as structured, corporate atmosphere
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple high-stake clients and projects.
- Be a motivated self-starter, with the ability to work both independently as well as collaboratively with a team-player mindset
- Proficiency in MS Office, and sales analytics tools.
- A passion for luxury fragrances and an eye for detail.
