What you'll need to succeed

• Solid back office experience in Asset management companies – specifically asset/investment managers for Insurance companies is a MUST HAVE
• Proven experience working on large-scale system derivatives & collateral management implementations or outsourcing projects
• Derivatives & Collateral Management knowledge or experience including front office, technology, risk, operations and compliance.
• Familiarity with industry-standard derivatives front office and collateral platforms (e.g., Bloomberg, Aladdin, Calypso, Cassini, Murex, TriOptima).

Responsibilities of the Job:

• Immediate handling of incoming vessel purchase orders
• Send orders to appropriate suppliers for quotes.
• Price negotiations and order follow-up with suppliers
• Evaluate incoming quotations and confirm supplier selection following Superintendent/Technical Manager or higher authority permission.
• To work closely with the warehouse and suppliers to ensure on-time delivery.
• Send instructions to the supplier.
• Keep the vessels and Vessel Managers informed of any delivery.
• Contact with the port agents of the vessel
• Clearance through customs
• Based on the practical arrangements made by the Vessel Manager, make the necessary official bookings for service and repairs.
• Maintain and update the supplier's database across many platforms.

Requirements for the Position:

• A self-motivated worker with at least three years of experience in the marine industry is required.
• Have initiative and the ability to multitask
  resourceful and skilled at negotiating
• IT savvy
• Capable at working with ERP

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Market Risk Analyst to join our dynamic team on a 9-month maternity and paternity cover contract. The ideal candidate will monitor, assess, and mitigate market risks while providing actionable insights to support business decisions in the commodities sector.

Key Responsibilities

1. Risk Assessment and Analysis:
   • Monitor and assess daily market risk exposures across commodity portfolios.
   • Analyze market movements, volatility, and potential risk factors impacting the business.
   • Evaluate Value-at-Risk (VaR) and stress testing results to identify risk concentrations.
2. Risk Mitigation:
   • Develop and recommend risk management strategies to mitigate exposure to unfavorable market movements.
   • Work closely with traders to ensure compliance with risk limits and guidelines.
3. Reporting and Documentation:
   • Prepare detailed risk reports for senior management, highlighting key exposures and recommendations.
   • Maintain accurate records of all risk metrics, methodologies, and assumptions.
4. Collaboration and Advisory:
   • Collaborate with trading, finance, and operations teams to understand and address risk concerns.
   • Provide insights into market trends and regulatory changes affecting commodity markets.
5. Model Development and Validation:
   • Assist in the development and validation of risk models and pricing tools specific to commodities.

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in market risk analysis, preferably in the commodities sector.
