Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth fundamental research on companies and industries, particularly focusing on AI and Technology, to inform investment decisions.
• Maintain and refine detailed financial models and associated data for portfolio companies.
• Synthesise extensive information into coherent, actionable investment theses.
• Communicate research findings effectively and tackle open-ended research questions.
• Undertake additional projects as directed by the manager.
• Collaborate with other colleagues with the overarching goal of advancing the fund’s research agenda, as and when necessary.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from a reputable institution. Advanced scientific degrees are highly valued (Master’s and above).
• Prior internship experience in Big Tech, equity research, investment banking, or consulting is beneficial.
• A deep passion for equity markets and investment research.
• Exceptional skills in financial modeling, numerical analysis, and analytical reasoning, with a talent for quantitative work involving financial and economic data.
• Familiarity with financial statements and equity valuation methodologies.
• Proficiency in data analytics and coding is preferred (E.g., Python, R).
• Ability to multitask, work meticulously and excel in a fast-paced environment, with a strong commitment to excellence.
• Highest standards of work ethic, pro-active with the ability to follow through tasks.
• Fluency in English; additional language skills, especially Mandarin, are beneficial.
