Prof. Rudi STOUFFS (NUS) and Ronita Bardhan (Cambridge), targets the identification and assembly of existing geocoded environmental datasets and linkage to individual behaviour and health outcomes. We will use existing data to analyse the built and natural environments in Singapore and construct profiles of urban environmental exposures at both population and individual levels. We will compile and map a set of environmental indicators and discover urban environmental exposure archetypes. These will be linked to the record of each study participant’s individual behaviour and health outcome.

Who are we looking for?

A research associate to conduct the following work activities:

· Compute urban heat island (UHI) intensity to include the interaction of urban morphogenetics such as urban form, sky-view factor, and local temperature anomalies.

· Compute human biometeorology indices such as physiological equivalent temperature (PET) and universal thermal climate index (UTCI).

· Compute humid-heat stress by integrating spatially averaged ambient meteorological data.

· Assess the spatial distribution of heat health risks, identify the climate adaptation capacity of vulnerable groups and neighbourhoods.

· Evaluate the social impacts of climate change (e.g., temperature, heat stress) on human health and mobility behaviour.

· Compute a novel humid-heat index by using multi-modal data, combining geostatistical, AI, and urban physical modelling, apportioned to the chosen unit of analysis.

1) Kinetics: (i) Experiments with flow reactors and laminar flames. The successful applicant will be skilled in analytical combustion chemistry systems such as gas chromatography and laser detection; (ii) Development of detailed and reduced chemical mechanisms. For the experimental positions, the successful candidate must be skilled in optical diagnostics, engine combustion, swirl combustion, fluids handling and data analysis. 4) Detonations and ignition risk analysis with CFD. The position involves high-order CFD methods for capturing detonations and turbulent flow analysis for ignition. The successful candidate must be experienced with CFD.

• Appointment Scheduling: Organizing and scheduling appointments at the center and updating calendar events on attendees using Microsoft outlook and/or other software systems.
• Centre & Meeting Room readiness: Maintaining a clean and organized reception area, ensuring the environment is presentable

1. Update the facility cleaners to have meeting rooms ready for customer visit
2. Check meeting rooms are in order an hour before customer visit

• AV system is in working order
• Stationaries such as pens/diaries are laid out
• Agenda is printed and placed in meeting rooms
• Electronics sign (welcome screen, room signage) display the correct informationRecords management: Keeping track of consumables usage such as water, pens, and place order for the consumables when supplies run low

1. Catering Management: Be the point of contact for the caterer and ensure the timely setup and removal of catering setup.
2. Maintaining and updating the visit records in the relevant application on timely manner.
3. Compiled weekly/monthly reports on center visit, as required.
4. Assists in all other admin and miscellaneous tasks being assigned on ad-hoc basis with relation to center operations. Example of tasks include mass ordering of name cards for the staffs.

Candidate Requirements

Familiar with personal computers operations. Experience in using common office applications such as Microsoft Office, and communications software like Zoom, Microsoft Teams
