Job Description:

We are looking for a competent Construction Assistant Foreman to coordinate operations and oversee workers at construction sites. As the point of reference of both workers and supervisors, you will be a key person for the completion of a project.

A construction assistant foreman has a solid background in the field. Your leadership skills and your extensive experience have earned you the ability to direct the work of others and make quick decisions. You must be well-organized and favour safety above everything else.

Responsibilities:

Coordinate tasks according to priorities and plans

Produce schedules and monitor attendance of crew

Allocate general and daily responsibilities

Supervise and train workers

Ensure manpower and resources are adequate

Guarantee all safety precautions and quality standards are met

Supervise the use of machinery and equipment

• Ensure legal compliance for all activities within relevant regulatory framework and PaxOcean’s HSE Management System
• Support HSE Manager to implement and execute HSE Programs & Initiatives
• Plan, conduct and participate in audits to identify potential areas of improvement and best practices.
• Organise and conduct regular HSE site inspections with all relevant stakeholders and follow up on all identified non-conformances
• Function as a safety assessor as per relevant regulatory requirements
• Function as a Site Incident Controller (SIC) and lead the Company Emergency Response Team (CERT) during emergency situations
• To serve as secretary for the Vessel Safety Coordination Committee (VSCC) for all assigned projects
• Initiate and conduct investigation for the purpose of identifying root causes upon any occurrences
• Liaise with relevant authorities as point of contact representing PaxOcean
• Any other tasks or responsibilities as assigned by HSE Head

• Hot work Assessor
• Confined Space Assessor
• Work at Height Assessor
• Relevant emergency response certifications will be an added advantage
• WSH Level C

Task and Responsibilities

• To provide necessary support to PaxOcean Group HSE for all matters
• Function as the appointed Fire Safety Manger (FSM) for the yard and ensure all requirements as per Fire Code are being complied with
• Taking lead as FSM or other appointed role within the Emergency response plan (ERP) during the event of an emergency
• To serve as HSE Duty Manager as per manpower scheduling
• Identify areas of improvement within current system and processes and recommend areas of improvement
• Co-ordinate with both internal and external stake holders (Yard Management team, Owners, Contractors, and local government authorities) on all HSE matters
• Ensure PaxOcean safety procedures are up to date and conforms to Singapore and International Standards and align with regulatory requirements
• To strategize and plan out annual department work plan and Key Performance Indicators (KPI)
• Identification of training needs for both yard operational team and HSE department personnel
• To participate in the evaluation and appraisal for all HSE department personnel’s performance and work output
• To oversee the conduct of periodic audit and assessment of consultants, suppliers, contractors
• Oversee preparation of weekly and monthly HSE report
• Organise HSE Monthly Committee meeting
• Prepare External Awards Application
• Carry out periodic maintenance, servicing and replacement for all HSE assets
• To prepare and submit Prequalification Questionnaire
• Assist to monitor department budgets and expenditure
• To plan and implement HSE initiatives and campaigns

Job Requirements

• More than 10 years of Shipyard / Marine related Experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in management role.
• Bachelor’s degree in EHS / any relevant engineering field from recognized institute.
• Firm and decisive in decision making
• Ability to provide feasible and practical solutions to challenges encountered
• Competent in planning and conducting ISO 45001, ISO 14001 & Safety Management System Audit.
• Ability to monitor and conduct data analysis and trending
• Ability to conduct investigation and root cause analysis utilizing various proven investigational techniques
• Proven track record on people’s management
• Ability to prepare and present concepts and ideas to both internal and external stakeholders, including senior management team

Event Coordination

• Source and liaise with vendors for events and marketing materials, ensuring quality and timeliness.
• Provide logistical support during events, managing on-site operations effectively.

Content Creation

• Script, produce, shoot, and edit photography and videography projects to align with marketing objectives.
• Conceptualise and develop and execute engaging marketing campaigns and creative ideas.

Social Media Management

• Manage social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn) to boost fan engagement and digital presence.
• Create diverse content such as posts, stories, reels, thought leadership pieces, and advertisements.

Marketing Campaigns

• Conduct market research to identify trends and develop relevant, innovative marketing strategies.
• Develop content for electronic direct mailers (EDMs), internal communications, and company websites.

Lead Generation

• Manage and execute lead-generating campaigns on platforms such as Facebook to drive potential customer or candidate interest and engagement.

Collaborative Support

• Assist subsidiaries and related companies in marketing and event-related tasks.
• Support various ad-hoc projects, initiatives and administrative task as assigned.

Requirements:

Diploma in Media, Marketing, or a related field.

1-2 years of relevant experience with a proven track record in photography and video editing.

Passion and creativity in content creation and campaign ideation.

Proficiency in managing social media platforms and using digital marketing tools.

Strong written and verbal communication abilities.

Competency in photography, videography, and editing software (e.g., Canva, CapCut, Adobe Photoshop / Illustrator).

Excellent multitasking and organizational skills to handle diverse responsibilities effectively.

Knowledge of SEO practices is a plus.

Position objective and summary

• Provide the leadership, management and foresight required to ensure that the business productivity is at its optimal level, through implementation and maintenance of the most efficient and effective operational controls, administration, and reporting procedures.
• Submit reports on performance and progress of the operation.

Main tasks / activities / responsibilities

• Assist Operation manger to enforce the structural plan set in place by the management and support the business plan for growth
• Work closely with Operation Manager, Supervisor and Lead Hand, to achieve daily operation activities.
