• The Senior Research Associate will coordinate, plan, and perform routine and non-routine activities in the cell bioassay department in accordance with pertinent guidelines and highest scientific standards. The activities include the development of cell based assays and methods, the maintenance of in vitro test systems, resource monitoring, and the execution of experiments in accordance with Good Laboratory Practices.
• This role will be part of a team where he will have to work jointly with operators having different levels of expertise. Communication, proactiveness, and self-management will be essential in order to deliver functional execution of in vitro studies on time and on budget whilst ensuring compliance with pertinent guidelines and scientific standards.
• The senior research associate will also support the in vivo department by performing clinical pathology analysis.

Responsibilities

• Implement, perform and develop experimental methods and techniques based on company needs. Ensure the established methods/techniques meet the company scientific standards, act as the primary subject matter expert in these techniques. Ensure the developed method are maintained to date by tracking advances in the field. Supervise/train staff in experimental techniques/technology systems related to the lab.
• Plan and coordinate activities on clearly defined programs, track progress in relation to timelines/ timetable. Coordinate daily work planning within Cell Bioassays team and to organize the practical aspects of additional measurements in the study. Being point of contact for study-related matters, to coordinate and participate in several study-based activities within own team and participate in resource monitoring and scheduling.
• Produce quality results within the required time frame, as well as analyze study related data/reports by applying scientific and technical principles and draw basic conclusions. Review routine data, monitor and escalate deviations. To lead in determining root cause of unusual findings and provide CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions).
• ·Support the in vivo department by performing clinical pathology analysis. It includes the testing of sample chemistry, hematological assessment, and various other assays.

• Full-time involvement in the management of studies, including performing routine and non-routine experiments under good laboratory practices. Must be able to work proactively, with excellent self autonomy, and good time management.
• To participate in several study-based activities (planning, maintenance). To assist the implementation and development of experimental methods and techniques based on the upcoming needs of the studies.

• Back up to the manager bioanalytical & in vitro operations to review and approve test results and assist on study planning for the Bioanalytics department in work flow optimization, resourcing, procurement etc.
• Assist and support in writing technical reports (method validation protocol and report); update standard operating procedures (SOP) and work instructions (WKIs) and data compilation.

Requirement

• Min Diploma with 3 - 4 years’ experience/ Degree with 1 - 2 years’ experience (eg, experience with chromatography methods like HPLC and GC).
• Ideally experience within a CRO, R&D unit within pharmaceutical or healthcare industries, or translational academic research organizations
• Hands-on experience on a broad range of analytical and bioanalytical platforms , i.e. LC/GC, LC-MS/MS, and other characterization tools for chemical entities.
