Project Introduction: This project focuses on developing a preliminary progression model of students’ ideas and understandings about the nature and status of historical knowledge. The Centre for Urban Solutions is to provide leadership in developing innovative solutions and sustainable technologies for space creation and urban infrastructure development.

The School of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) at Nanyang Technological University is a leading school for Sustainable Built Environment. It has over 60 faculty members and more than 1,500 students and is rapidly expanding its range of education and research activities.

CEE is inviting applications for the position of Research Associate for a research project.

Key Responsibilities:

• To be involved in a research project related to geophysics, geotechnical engineering, and geoenvironmental engineering.
• Familiar with data analysis and data fusion related to geophysical, geotechnical and geoenvironmental fields including shear-wave velocity, physical and mechanical behaviours of mixed waste materials, and chemical characterization of mixed waste materials, etc.
• Perform independent and collaborative research to meet the project objectives.
• Develop new solutions.
• Seek funding for new research directions.
• Publish high-quality journal papers to promote the international reputation of the Centre and the University.

Job Requirements:

• A Master Degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Geophysics, or equivalent from a recognised university.
• Have good knowledge in Geophysics, Geotechnical Engineering and Geoenvironmental engineering.
• Good verbal and written communication in English.
• Working or research experience of at least 1 year is desirable.

· Responsible for sales and marketing of company products to all customers.

· Assist to promote company's new products to customers.

· Prepare quotations, orders and invoices and to coordinate with other departments on these processes.

· Handle and follow up on customers' enquiries, quotations and orders.

· Responsible for cash and cheque collections from company’s drivers.

· Responsible for payment collections from customers.

· Maintain and improve sales and profit targets.

· Establish and maintain good rapport with customers.

· Perform filing and other administrative duties.

· Assist Supervisor in her daily operational process

Management Accounts

· Reports to the Finance Manager

· Responsible for accounting processes and tasks (i.e.: AP & AR process, account reconciliation etc.)

· Responsible for bank reconciliation & bank account opening, LC, TR etc.

· Assists the Senior to support intercompany activities

· Provide timely and accurate report of AP / AR

· Provide support and assist in internal & external audits

· Ensure compliance to accounting SOP

Controls

· Preparing company cash flow report

· Monitor Company fixed deposit report

· Prepare AP/AR ageing report

Others

· Assist in new processes and system implementation when required

· Assist in preparation of PJC reports

Project Samples Dispatch

• To attend day to day project samples submissions by following up and coordinating with R&D Team in ensuring the samples are submitted on time.
• To ensure project samples received from the R&D Team are forwarded to Courier Team on time for invoice, packing and shipping.
• To measure Flash Point for all new creations are measured and maintain data in FISS for SDS arrangement.

Coordination with QC Department and FA Department

• To coordinate with FA Team /QC Team on the publishing of SDS and GHS information for daily project samples dispatch.
• To attend request from QC Department for reference samples.

Support Affiliates Library Request & Stock Replenishment Request

• To attend Affiliates Library Request and Stock Replenishment Request and ensure samples are submitted on time.
• To maintain and manage the Inventory for Library Flavors. Request for compounding when stock level is low.
• To attend ad hoc request from SCM Department.

Laboratory Activities and others

• Generate GHS Label and re packing of Flavors.
• Returning of flavor back to original storage location after re packing.
• Maintain and ensure a clean and safe working environment in Sample Lab
• Clean lab equipment, glassware, and apparatus after use.
• To carry any additional job-related duties, this may be assigned from time to time, when and where necessary.
• Implement and conforms to all established environmental management system.
• Support the implemented environmental management system.
• Comply with all applicable procedures and legal and other requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

General Administrative Support:

· Perform general clerical duties, including photocopying, faxing, and filing.

· Manage and maintain office supplies inventory.

· Assist in the preparation of reports and documents.

Scheduling and Coordination:

· Coordinate and schedule appointments, meetings, and events.

· Arrange travel accommodations and itineraries for executives.

· Communicate effectively with team members to ensure seamless coordination.

Communication and Correspondence:

· Answer and direct phone calls, taking messages when necessary.

· Draft and edit correspondence, emails, and other documents.

· Act as a liaison between internal teams and external stakeholders.

Data Management:

· Maintain and update databases and filing systems.

· Ensure accurate and timely data entry.

· Assist in the organization and management of company records.

Office Organization:

· Keep the office environment tidy and organized.

· Assist in the setup and coordination of office events.

Qualifications:

· Proven experience as an Administrative Assistant or similar role.

· Proficient in MS Office Suite.

· Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

· Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
