Its objective is to enhance the development of commercial maritime law in Singapore, the region, and further afield. CML is inviting applications from legal professionals and academic faculty in the field of maritime law to conduct research and to participate in the work of the Centre for a temporary period of one to two months, with possible extension of up to six months.

Must have skills

• PhD in Physics, with research experience in cold atom physics
• Proficient in experimental work

Responsibilities

The lab of RNA in Disease and Translational Technologies at the Institute of Molecular and Cell Biology, A*STAR, Singapore is seeking to recruit a highly motivated Scientist or Senior Scientist to join a team developing a ribozyme-based RNA platform for potential translational and/or clinical applications.

The work will involve both in vitro and in vivo techniques, including molecular biology (RNA design, in vitro transcription, cell-free RNA assays, RT-qPCR, molecular cloning), cell biology (cell culture, cell transfection, flow cytometry, antisense oligonucleotides and RNAi, CRISPR), high-resolution imaging techniques, and experiments in mouse models (e.g. transgenesis, in situ hybridization and immunohistochemistry, imaging and functional analyses)

Requirements

• Minimum Ph.D. in Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Genetics, Neuroscience or a related discipline.
• The successful candidate should have strong expertise in RNA biology, cell biology, biochemistry and molecular biology techniques, a strong publication record that includes a first author research paper, and strong scientific writing skills.

You will work on mass spectrometry-based identification of small molecule binders of RNA and small molecule metabolomics projects.

• Develop and run standardized protocols for untargeted metabolomics (or targeted metabolomics panels) for small molecule analysis.
• Design workflows and optimize analytical methods for performing targeted/untargeted metabolomics experiments for different sample mediums (Plasma/Urine/Tissue).
• Work with different collaborators and lead projects for small molecule metabolomics analysis on various sample types.
• Conceptualise, design and develop metabolomics assays for quantification of small molecules.
• Write and present research findings for conferences and publications.
• Contribute to project management, provision of guidance to junior researchers, including research officers.

Job Requirements
