Responsibilities

The selected candidate will be part of the Strategic Marketing team and will support a wide range of regional marketing initiatives. Responsibilities include:

• Carry out detailed secondary research to identify business needs, challenges, and opportunities in different markets in APAC region.
• Track macro-economic indicators, derive insights from macro data and publish the insights to APAC countries for business planning.
• Use research tools and insights to evaluate existing markets in new ways and understand new markets better. These include including macro trends, market sizing, opportunities & threats, changing dynamics, competition, and emerging trends.
• Perform business analysis and reporting for assigned projects, reviews, and presentations.
• Present the findings and recommendations in a meaningful and comprehensive way.
• Contribute in cross-functional projects - market evaluation, resource planning, problem solving, operational plan and participate in execution.
• Determine the dashboards, analysis and data requirements and deliver on them with defined frequency for future business planning & problem solving.

Requirements

• Graduate/Post-Graduate degree in business/sciences/engineering from a reputed institution. An MBA will be an added advantage.
• 2-5 years of relevant experience in market research and analysis, preferably within large corporates, or with consulting or market research companies.
• Industry experience in Speciality Chemicals, Materials, Packaging & Labelling, Paints, Printing Inks, Graphic Arts, or similar sectors would be highly desirable, but not essential.

Qualifications

• Degree qualifications in Cost Management, Quantity Surveying or similar discipline with more than 10 years’ international experience working on complex industrial, science and technology projects (data center, manufacturing, lifescience/pharma etc) as a cost consultant.
• English language skills are required and additional Asia language skills would be an advantage
• Excellent communication skills, and strong business acumen, with the ability to drive outcomes on behalf of clients, develop new business, leverage current opportunities, and coordinate with construction and design teams to meet deadlines and deliverables

The Associate, Partnerships and Events will take lead and responsibility for organising programmes and fundraising events for the organisation while securing and building partnerships and creating awareness on our programmes.

Key Responsibilities

Event Planning and Execution

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams / internal stakeholders to deliver high- quality programmes and fundraising events
• Work with the Manager Partnerships to plan and coordinate the flagship fundraising events in addition to developing new and sustainable fundraising initiatives
• Work with the team to manage all aspects of events including logistics, timelines, resources and budgets as required
• Liaise with the respective government agencies to secure any permits, licenses and / or matching donations for the eligible events
• Collaborate with the Communications team to create engaging event materials, including invitations, promotional collateral, and presentations and assist with social media outreach
• Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and venues to ensure smooth event operations
• Oversee event setup, including registration, audio-visual requirements, signage,and seating arrangements among others
• Coordinate event staff, and onsite activities to ensure a positive attendeeexperience
• Secure and manage volunteers for the events
• Conduct post-event evaluations to measure the success of events and engagementactivities and provide recommendations to continuously improve future events and engagement strategies

Partnerships

• Work with the team to plan and implement partner / stakeholder engagement strategies to foster positive relationships and enhance brand awareness
• Maintain regular communication with various stakeholders such as partners, sponsors, volunteers and members through different channels, including email, newsletters, and social media to build partnerships
• Assist to develop and plan donor management and coordination including memberships and periodic donations

What we are looking for

• At least 1 year of working experience in the hospitality industry handling frontline services;

SMU Libraries seeks a collaborative, proactive, and knowledgeable professional for the role of Associate Librarian/Librarian who will be part of the Instruction and Learning Team to partner faculty for course-integrated instruction and other stakeholders for out-of-classroom learning.

Associate Librarians/Librarians work across teams within the Libraries to contribute to the development of a range of services designed to deliver instructional and learning programmes, increase research visibility, and facilitate access to resources. This includes collaborating with other librarians, faculty, and across the University to develop, package and teach information and digital literacy programmes and metaliteracies that contribute to academic and learning success.
