· Contribute to high-quality research and development work in TCOMS laboratory through physical experiments including:

o design of scaled physical test models, such as maritime vessels, offshore rigs, marine renewable platforms, and aquaculture systems for testing in TCOMS Ocean Basin.

o generation of detailed design, production, assembly, and as-built drawings of test models.

o Structural assessment of the test models as well as other support to be used in the experimental setup.

o Work with a team of engineers and technicians on model fabrication and modification, calibration, instrumentation, and experimental setup.

o enhance the measurement of models’ behaviour and response by use of appropriate sensors like load cells or custom strain gauges.

o document design processes, methodologies, and results.

o contribute to process enhancements for improved efficiency of research work.

· Perform research in the following areas:

o Offshore hydrodynamics

o Coastal Protection

o Structural response and health monitoring of Marine & Offshore platforms and floating structures

o Fluid-structure interactions

Job Requirements

· Bachelor’s/ Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, Offshore Engineering, or other related disciplines.

· Preferably 3 years of relevant research/industry experience with competent knowledge in some of the following areas:

- Offshore engineering, marine engineering, marine structures, hydrodynamics, naval architecture.

· Prior knowledge in the following numerical methods/software/programming languages will be an advantage:

Job Description

The Global Centre for Asian Women’s Health (GloW) aims to build a global research platform for transdisciplinary endeavours to address major health concerns over a woman's lifespan and across generations. Through its main hub in Singapore, the Centre will engage in multi-disciplinary research to promote women’s health, including a series of diet and lifestyle intervention studies.

Purpose of the role

The project coordinator/manager will play a key role in dietary intervention studies by actively managing and coordinating diet and lifestyle intervention studies in GloW. Responsibilities include development, implementation and monitoring of meal plans, educating participants as needed, collecting dietary data, and performing administrative duties to ensure the studies’ success and compliance. The staff will work closely with Principal Investigators of intervention studies, collaborate closely with the research team, food service team, and other relevant stakeholders, as well as undertake other ad-hoc responsibilities assigned by the Centre’s Director as needed.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

The staff will hold a few key responsibilities, including

(1) Intervention study coordinator:

• Recruit and interview study participants for the intervention study
• Implement methods for collecting dietary data, including detailed food intake records and compliance monitoring.
• Conduct regular assessments to evaluate participants' nutritional status and document any deviations from prescribed diets.

(2) Nutritional Intervention study monitoring:

• Monitor food/nutrient composition for meals developed for intervention study
• Collaborate with the research team to integrate nutritional components into the study design and ensure alignment with research objectives.
• Liaise and coordinate with the Food Service team, providing diet requirements, and assisting in menu and recipe development and analysis as required

A postdoctoral researcher is sought to contribute to this cutting-edge research, which lies at the intersection of organic semiconductors, materials science, and electrochemistry. As the Research Engineer (Equipment/Operations), you are directly involved in tool installation activities for semiconductor process tools.
