Project Scope

The project “Zero-G wells: a 3D tissues growing platform for human tissue regeneration study in microgravity conditions” is aimed at studying the effects of gravitational forces on the regulation of cell and tissue homeostasis. To this end, we will engineer an advanced version of our JeWells platform [1] which allows the growth of thousands of organoids in parallel while maintaining full access for standard and advanced microscopies. The effects of mechanical unloading will be tested on different biological models by subjecting them to conditions of hypo- and hyper-gravity. We will make use of simulation tools (with e.g. a Random Positioning Machine, RPM), and 0-g parabolic flight conditions; these experiences will also give the necessary feedback to prepare our set-up in compliance with the experimental conditions and policies required to apply for access to the International Space Station (ISS).

The Centre for International Law (CIL) was established in 2009 as a university-level research institute at NUS. It is located on the Bukit Timah Campus of NUS, together with the Faculty of Law. CIL engages in both legal and multi-disciplinary research on wide variety of international law issues. Ocean Law & Policy is one of CIL’s core programme areas and was established over 10 years ago. It is co-headed by Emeritus Professor Robert Beckman and Dr. Tara Davenport. Department

The department is Asset Management. This department is primarily responsible for the management of the operational PBSA properties in Australia, the focus of the department is centred on 4 main objectives, providing our residents an unforgettable journey in our property, budget management, operator management and lastly improving and preserving the value of the property.

Designation and Reporting

The department you will be in is the Asset Management department which is currently split into 2 teams by geographies. Your designation is Associate, Asset Management, and you will report directly to the team head. You will be based in Singapore but are expected to travel to Australia regularly and whenever required. You will be required to work closely with all other departments within the Company as well as our PBSA operator(s) in Australia.

Our investment professionals are responsible for delivering investment outcomes to our clients. They are enabled by many teams including Front Office Services (FOS), which is responsible for operations and support functions.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

This role is part of the FOS team, focusing on the liquidity management for the portfolios. This includes:

• Liquidity / Active Cash management
• FX / Derivatives support
• Short Term Money Market Instruments execution
• Treasury market Data Insights and Analytics

This role will be working closely across various functions within the company specifically the Investment teams, Dealing, Middle Office and the Transitions team

Key responsibilities of the role include:

Liquidity / Active Cash management

• Review and monitor cash balances and the cash settlement ladder
• Proactively support the portfolio manager to invest excess cash, manage exposure risk and avoid overdraft
• Oversight and reporting of cashflow exposure across counterparties with permitted limits

Derivatives Overlay Support

• Review collaterals and margins to ensure consistency with previous day market movements
• Manage both security and cash collaterals and margins movements
• Work closely with Investment teams and Middle Office on security collateral postings and recall
• Support Investment Teams on Overlay portfolios hedging

Order Generation & Execution

• Generate FX and STMMI orders
• Work with Investment Monitoring team to resolve any breaches flagged
• Work closely with the dealing team to support efficient execution
• Support effective execution with an awareness of the constant need to achieve “best execution” and ensuring a professional and courteous relationship with counterparties for cash instruments like Time Deposit, FX and MMF
• Review of counterparties in terms of level, capacity, willingness to trade and execution cost
• Adhere to regulatory and compliance requirements and to meet the aims of the Fund Management teams

Data, infrastructure, research and Projects

• Support the team with Aladdin and other technology and data vendor requirements
• Maintain relevant dashboards and tools to support decision making, across different toolsets
• Support the team with research, analysis and reporting
• Participate in projects leading to automation, control improvement, risk reduction and process optimization

New fund launch and strategies support

• Participate in internal and client meetings to support fund launches or changes to mandates, working in close collaboration with the Transitions team and other functions

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

• 5-8 years+ broad experience of the asset management industry with an emphasis on Treasury / Liquidity management and execution
• Conversant with investment concepts, instruments, investment portfolios asset classes and financial derivatives.
• Good knowledge of a wide range of treasury products and related operations
• Familiarity with investment regulation and restrictions in Asian markets
