This project aims to investigate the performance of cementitious materials and 3D printed concrete against ballistic and blast loadings. The researcher will be required to cast and fabricate the various cementitious materials and 3D printed concrete, prepare the logistics and perform the relevant ballistic and blast tests. He/she will also be required to set up the numerical models in commercial FE software (e.g. LS Dyna), validated against experimental data, to understand the mechanisms in resisting the high impact loadings for the various cementitious materials.

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

The Manager is a specialist in a specific area of health services research (HSR) with good understanding of the broad HSR landscape and trend. Research Fellow in Carbon-Negative Synthetic Biology and Engineering of Cyanobacterial Cell Factories

We are seeking one or more highly motivated and creative postdoctoral researchers to join our dynamic team at the Synthetic Biology for Clinical and Technological Innovation (SynCTI), Synthetic Biology Translational Research Programme, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore (NUS) and the National Centre for Engineering Biology (NCEB).

The selected candidate(s) will be part of an interdisciplinary collaboration across various research groups. Appointments will be initially made on a 1-year contract, with the possibility of extension. We welcome applications from PhD holders, including those without prior experience.

Ideal candidates will possess expertise in cyanobacteria engineering and the development of cell factories for bioproduction. The successful candidate will lead pre-clinical imaging efforts to validate novel imaging probes that target immune cell biomarkers. He/She will be responsible for the strategic planning, execution and communication of research.
