The Earth Observatory of Singapore (EOS) is a University Research Institute at Nanyang Technological University Singapore that conducts fundamental research on earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, tsunamis, and climate change in and around Southeast Asia, towards safer and more sustainable societies. EOS is looking for ambitious, highly motivated Research Fellow (post-doctoral scholar). The successful candidate will work under the supervision of Prof Adam Switzer to investigate various approaches to future tropical cyclone prediction in the Asia Pacific and apply novel statistical techniques to enable policymakers and planners to understand plausible worst-case scenarios with the rising sea-level and changing climate. We're looking for a collaborative individual with a passion for learning, who would enjoy working with people from a wide range of disciplines, with a goal to connecting the dots between the components.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct computer simulations by modelling components of sea-level rise, cyclogenesis and their inter-dependencies.
• Interface with climate modeling experts and insurance industry partners on the relevant data for modeling and analysis of future cyclone risk.
• Manage, analyse, and interpret complex datasets, employing the latest methodologies and tools for accurate and efficient data processing.

The Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) Department at the National University of Singapore (NUS) is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Research Engineer to join our team and contribute to our ongoing research projects related to IC design.

Responsibilities:

• Explore heterogeneous systems with silicon chips being integrated on unconventional substrates such as flexible and stretchable, for ultra-low power always-on and intelligent silicon platforms.
• Work on innovative circuit techniques with very wide power-performance scaling to minimize the system energy while providing targeted levels of performance on demand. Such techniques will be investigated for digital sub-systems in advanced technologies.
• Be responsible to conduct research at the circuit level, defining and validating design options and defining new integrated circuit techniques.
