We are expanding our laboratory unit at the Pediatric Brain Tumor Research Office, SingHealth Duke-NUS Academic Medical Center. This is a Research Officer position. You will be working on molecular and cellular characterization of genes and biochemical/functional experiments related to translational aspects of human carcinogenesis, as well as mouse models.

Requirements:

- Bachelor of Science with Honors.
- Technical competence in a broad set of laboratory skills.

The Beh lab seeks to develop cutting-edge CRISPR-Cas technologies to uncover the biological functions of RNA modifications. Dysregulation of these modifications has been linked to cancer, neurological disorders, and metabolic disease. We will determine the mechanisms by which RNA modifications and CRISPR-Cas systems operate by drawing upon diverse techniques, including protein engineering, biochemical reconstitution, genomics, and cell-based experiments. Job Description

The National University of Singapore invites applications for the position of Research Fellow in the Centre for Holistic Inquiry into Lifelong Learning (CHILL).

The Research Fellow will be responsible for working closely with the Principal Investigator (A/Prof Suranga Nanayakkara). He/She will work in developing effective pedagogical strategies for CET (Continuous Education and Training) courses. Their work will involve developing potential strategies based prior work and in-house qualitative/quantitative data collections, designing interventions based on these strategies, testing and piloting them across various adult/lifelong learning courses.

Major responsibilities include:

1. Working with A/Prof Suranga Nanayakkara and Senior Research Fellow at CHILL to conduct original, impactful research.

2. Taking the lead on research & development work related top pedagogical strategies for CET (Continuous Education and Training) courses.

3. Contributing to disseminate research outcomes to the audience in the field of Adult Learning/Education/Learning Sciences through presentations, demos and journal/conference papers.

4. Participating in project meetings as well as industrial/academic events.

Qualifications

• A PhD in Learning Sciences, Education or related field
