For this position, we would require a post-doctoral fellow to engage in designing and running of multiple CRISPR genome screens, to interrogate and identify genes that are responsible for a host of different genome instability phenomenon uncovered in our lab in human carcinogenesis

Duties And Responsibilities

Laboratory skills:

• Required experience with CRISPR gene editing and screens
• Required experience with mammalian cell culture
• Required experience with molecular cloning and biochemical analyses (qPCR, Western, co-IP, etc.)
• Good to have experience in high-throughput sequencing and data analysis (RNAseq etc.)

Qualifications

• PhD in biology or related fields
• Strong track record of research achievement evidenced by high-quality publications in a relevant field
• High-level experience in hands-on use of a wide range of relevant research methods
• Skills in working independently and creatively to solve experimental problems
• Effective communication and presentation skills, with experience in communicating scientific work including scientific papers, presentations and reports.

About the role

McConnell Dowell seeks an experienced RTO for one of our major infrastructure projects in Singapore.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspection and supervision of Archi work, including but not limited to ALC wall & drywall, off-site precast toilet units, off-site precast façade panels factory, epoxy flooring, vinyl flooring, carpet flooring, plastering, painting, raised floor system, ceiling, screeding, tiling, waterproofing, room handover, defects, auto-door testing, lift interior, & resolving conflicts between Architectural, Structural & M&E works.
• Inspect and conduct all required tests for the project.
• Preparation & issuance of site memos on bad workmanship & non-compliant works.
• As-built drawings checks.
• Highlight safety issues as & when observed.
• Attend and witness all on-site testing of architectural works as required by the Client and authorities.
• Check that all architectural works are carried out according to the approved drawings and specifications and conform to all authority standards and requirements.
• Inspect the completed works and record all defects for rectification before handing them over to the Client.

About You

To be considered for this role, you will have;

• Diploma in a relevant field and a minimum of 8 years of architectural experience, along with at least 5 years of experience in supervising construction for projects of similar scale and complexity in a local context.
• Has good working knowledge of Architectural and Interior Design finishing works and compliance with local Building Regulations.
• Prefer to have LTA MRT project experience.
• Able to work alt sat work week.

Job Description

The Mechanobiology Institute (MBI) at the National University of Singapore (NUS) is a leading multi-disciplinary institute devoted to developing new paradigms for understanding biological functions in health and diseases from the perspective of cell, tissue and organ mechanics/dynamics and mechano-signal transduction. A Research Assistant position is available in the Single-Molecule Biophysics Lab at the Mechanobiology Institute. The Research Assistant will assist in the research of the team by contributing to building and maintaining magnetic tweezers instruments and training other group members to use them. He or she will also share the workload of single-molecule manipulation experiments. Primary responsibilities will include:

• Building, testing, and maintaining magnetic tweezers instrument
• Share workload on single-molecule studies of mechanosensing proteins

Qualifications

1. Minimal Bachelor’s degree, college background in Physics;
2. Capable of building fluorescence microscopes independently;
3. Extensive undergraduate research experience related microscope building and optics.
4. Skillful in Labview and MatLab programming.
5. Skillful in imaging analysis and imaging correlation analysis.
6. Experiences in DNA and protein biochemistry as well as single-molecule manipulation

• MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering or Solid-State Physics with 15+ years of related and industry experience in SiC devices
• Formulate strategies and developing core technologies for high & ultra-high voltage SiC devices aimed at future power system applications and energy savings.
• Lead research focused on the development of SiC high-voltage Superjunction (SJ) MOSFETs, Ultra-high-voltage IGBTs, and related core technologies
• Utilize advanced technology, process, and device modeling tools Silvaco, Sentaurus, or similar platforms to create state-of-the-art power MOSFET architectures.
• Hands-on experience with ultra-high voltage high power device characterizations analysis.
• Ability to foster revolutionary ideas among team-members to simplify processes and reduce costs for the fabrications of ultra-high power devices
• Proven track record of promoting innovative culture within teams, resulting in a robust patent portfolio in the field of SiC devices.
• Comprehensive knowledge of power conversion circuit topologies.
• Serve as the technical leader in designing best-in-class new power products.
• Capable to conceptualize and establish the groundwork for integrating high-voltage high-power devices into final modular designs to ensure reliability and adherence to safe operating areas.
• Lead collaborations with industry leading partners to enhance the SiC ecosystem in the field of high-voltage devices and power electronics, facilitating the effective utilization of renewable energy & applications in high voltage power electronics.
• Serve as the technical leader in designing best-in-class new power electronics.
