Main duties and responsibilities

The Research Assistant will be able to:

1. Provide research support to the project in both cellular studies and in vivo mouse study and conduct a research project independently.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor degree in life science and biomedical degree.

3. At least 2 years of animal experience in mouse model of cancers and familiar with immune cell profiling of murine tumor models.
4. Great skills in tissue culture and cellular/molecular biology and protein chemistry basic techniques including Western Blot, viral transfection, q-RT-PCR, immunohistochemistry, and flow cytometry.

The CRISPR and Genome Editing Lab led by Assistant Professor HU Chunyi, is a dynamic addition to the Department of Biological Sciences at the National University of Singapore. You will be responsible to helm CareHub in line with CareHub’s service standards and key performance indicators (KPIs) and deliver a positive customer experience for residents and community partners who reach in to CareHub for support to age well in the community. The job scope would include referrals to community partners, facilitating community appointments, conducting outbound nudges to encourage participation in screening and vaccination to assisting residents and community partners with navigation of the healthcare landscape.

1. Perform research in the following areas:

• Global performance analysis, including analysis of moored floating platforms and bottom-founded structures in wind, waves and current, to derive rigid body responses and/or
• Global structural dynamic analysis to derive structural responses for strength and fatigue assessment

Identify and discuss environmental heath irregularities such as mosquito and fly breeding, rodent infestation, noise/dust/smoke/water pollution, poor housekeeping, earth littering, poor refuse management, poor maintenance of sanitary facilities, etc with Project Manager and recommend measures to rectify such irregularities.

Attend to all feedback on such irregularities and inform the superior accordingly.

Handle authorities or owners like NEA, PUB, HDB to investigate outbreaks of infectious, vector-borne, or food-borne disease on the construction site.

Work as a team with project team members and sub-contractors to maintain good environmental health standards in the construction site.

Prevention of fines, imposition of demerit points and SWO from the authorities or owners like MOM, NEA, PUB and HDB is a key role which is also a key performance measurement of ECO.
