Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and test in vitro aging skin models in collaboration with other partners in the program

Project Overview

The AMR IRG is an interdisciplinary community of biologists, engineers, and clinicians from MIT and Singapore, sharing a state-of-the art research facility and united by a commitment to providing a supportive intellectual environment where students and staff can learn, grow, and contribute to solving a pressing societal problem.

The objective of this project is to advance the field of RNA analysis by developing and implementing innovative analytical tools. These tools will be used in a comprehensive study of all forms of RNA -- the ribonucleome -- and the >170 RNA modifications -- the epitranscriptome -- in disease pathobiology, host-pathogen interactions, biomarker development, and therapeutic target discovery.

Responsibilities

The Research Engineer will plan and conduct experiments with the aim of understanding RNA modifications' roles in human disease and leveraging RNA-modifying enzymes as potential drug discovery targets. The candidate will work primarily on cell culture, RNA isolation, and chromatography-coupled mass spectrometry analysis. Job Description

The ADJ Laboratory at Cancer Science Institute, focuses on understanding the immune system's recognition of cancer cells after DNA-damaging chemotherapy. The lab’s goal is to guide the rational design of immunotherapy-chemotherapy combinations for cancer treatment, with a particular emphasis on lymphomas and collaborations with the NUH Lymphoma team. The ADJ Laboratory at Cancer Science Institute, focuses on understanding the immune system's recognition of cancer cells after DNA-damaging chemotherapy. Purpose of the post

We are seeking a skilled Research Assistant to support our advanced research in developing new methodologies utilising cutting-edge automation approach to unveil the complex connection between microbial population and human health. The successful candidate will primarily be responsible for sample preparation, single-cell isolation workflow optimization, and novel bacterial species characterisation. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work with state-of-the-art single-cell dispensing platform, develop expertise in high-output nanopore sequencing, and contribute to impactful scientific research.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

This role will suit an individual passionate about microbiology and omics study to understand host-microbes interactions. The RA will be able to:

1. conduct wet lab experiments;
2. Assist in the isolation, characterisation, and genomic analysis of bacterial samples;
3. Prepare research findings for publications, reports, and presentations;
4. Undertake the day-to-day running of the project and collaborate with team members in supporting lab operation;
