Description

We are looking for a senior Firmware Engineer with experience in power electronics to join us in Singapore, with opportunities to travel overseas.

In this role, you will be responsible for the design, development and testing of the firmware and embedded control algorithm for Xnergy wireless power and power conversion products. This includes various stages in a product’s life cycle such as concept/ architecture, prototyping, evaluation, production ready firmware, manufacturing, and maintenance.

You will work closely with the R&D team (hardware, firmware, and software engineers) to contribute to power converter design and shape the development of our future product strategies.

You are expected to provide theoretical knowledge and hands on skill in power electronics control and algorithm, firmware architecture, microcontrollers, power management strategies.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities

1. Design and implement control algorithms and embedded firmware for high-power converters based on DSP/MCU using C/C++ programming language and model-based design methodology in line with the applied normative and standards practice.
2. Apply knowledge of CAN, SPI, USB, I2C, RS485, RS232 communication protocols to product development.
3. Plan and execute testing strategy including bench testing, validation testing, unit testing, integration testing, and system level testing.
4. Develop lab test tools, and support development of routine testing methods/systems for production systems.
5. Produce clear documentation for firmware design and test results.
6. Support identification and troubleshooting of discovered field issues, customisation requirements, create solutions, and disseminate knowledge.
7. Contribute to all phases of the firmware development life cycle including requirements analysis, architecture, design, implementation, testing, and release to ensure high quality production code.
8. Work closely with R&D team, field applications, and production teams for specifications, design, prototyping, and fabrication locally and remotely.
9. Contribute in selecting microcontrollers, schematics review, power management strategy, testing, debugging, and troubleshooting of power, digital, and analog circuit.
10. Finding root-cause and solve technical issues during new product development and product improvement as well as in field escalations.
11. Provide technical guidance and support to the software team.
12. Contribute in related technology roadmaps, features development, next generation product.
13. Plan and schedule to meet goals, deliverables, and deadlines.
14. Mentor junior engineers with an emphasis on controls.

Requirements

1. Bachelor’s/Master’s/PhD degree in Electrical/Electronic/Power Electronics Engineering or Computer Science or other related field.
2. Possess minimum 3 years of relevant work experience.
3. Good understanding and strong interests in power electronics, control and stability, topologies (e.g., AC/DC, PFC, DC/DC, DC/AC, LLC and resonant converter), analog/digital circuit.
4. Solid experience with embedded software development, firmware design, real time control and implementation in microcontrollers, DSPs.
5. Good programming skills (C/C++/assembly, python) and familiar with various development platform (microcontrollers, Linux, etc.) and development tools (compilers and debuggers).
6. Strong knowledge in various industrial communication protocol and the implementation (UART, USB, SPI, I2C, RS-485, CAN, CAN-FD, ISO-15118, IEC 61851).
7. Strong practical knowledge on schematics, engineering specs, testing, troubleshooting, debugging, including familiarity with equipment (oscilloscopes, multi-meters, power supplies, etc.).
8. Familiar with good development practices including design and code reviews, testing and regression, revision control, release, and user documentation.
9. Experience with Agile development methods such as Kanban or Scrum.

ACMV Design/Site Engineer - Job Description

1. System Design: Create and optimise air-conditioning and mechanical ventilation systems, including load calculations and equipment selection.

2. Site Supervision: Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of ACMV systems on-site to ensure they meet design specifications and quality standards.

3. Technical Support: Provide on-site troubleshooting and technical guidance during construction, resolving any issues related to HVAC systems.

• Technical Bid Evaluation for procurement.
• Monitor procurement process to meet Project Schedule.
• Review vendor certified Document (VCD).
• Monitor piping bulk material usage, surplus material and warehouse balance utilisation.
• Interface with vendor, other discipline lead, procurement, production, commissioning.
• Attend factory acceptance test (FAT) if required.
• Able to perform piping procurement related activities with no or minimum supervision.

Responsibilities:

• Understand contract and scope of work (i.e. SOW) and extracting the contract requirement into the checklist.
• Follow up FEED, P&IDs developed by consultant.
• Able to perform equipment sizing for pump required flow rate and pumping head together with NPSH verification.
• Able to perform piping line sizing.
• Able to develop system UFD/PFD.
• Able to create System Process Data Sheet.
• Develop/Update FPSO Hull common system related Topside, Safety, Hull marine systems in P&ID.
• Well understanding of common Class requirement such as ABS, LR and DNV Rules for marine system design.
• Well understanding of Equipment Isolation Philosophy and Specification from client.
• Well understanding of common piping material selection and application for marine system design as reference to International Standard.
• Able to incorporate the recommendations from the safety studies into the P&IDs and other relevant documents
• Able to review/comments technical proposal and vendor certified documents (VCD) from vendor (i.e. control valves specifications, PSVs specifications, etc.)
• Liaise with other discipline for relevant information that are needed for process design.
• Able to understand safety related drawing & documents (e.g. Safety Plan, Area Classification, Safety Signaling, Technical Specification for safety equipments, HSE Manual, Hydrant Location Study etc).
• Understand P&IDs and other related process, safety & instrumentation items
• Well understanding of the galvanic corrosion phenomena in the system design and able to avoid or resolve the galvanic corrosion related problems.
• Define control narrative and alarm set point for the instruments.
• System descriptions & all other kind of OIM (operation & maintenance manual)
• Sizing calculations (i.e. PSVs calculation, BDV calculations, SDV calculation, Control valves calculation).
• Carry out Hull Process related studies and prepare official report.
• Good knowledge in process simulation (PRO-II / HYSYS process simulator)
• Familiar System Design Safe Chart, Cause & Effect Matrix, Narrative Control Logic.
• Having knowledge to evaluate the relevant safety studies in FPSO design (i.e. HAZOP, HAZID, Radiation Study, Fire Explosion Study).
• Understanding of Working Environment Requirement and Human Ergonomic Design.
• Support commissioning activities and troubleshooting of system performance related issues.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for preparation and delivery of process calculations, design drawings and other documents for water, wastewater treatment, and air treatment projects.
• Aware the requirements for full compliance to local authorities
• Conduct process calculations such as treatment unit sizing, pipe or ducting pressure losses for above mentioned projects.
• Design PFD, P&ID drawings for these projects.
• Select equipment or propose the parameters for selection of equipment such as pumps, fans.
• Design the layout and section views of the overall treatment system including process treatment units, equipment, and pipings and ductings with the help of drafters.
• Prepare other textual documents in process discipline such as control philosophy, datasheets.
• Evaluate technical documents from subcontractors and suppliers.

• Provide technical support to sales and project teams.

Requirements:

• A recognized degree in environmental engineering, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, or all other process related engineering.
• 3 years above work experience in water, wastewater treatment, or air treatment.
• Master degree holders with less experience will be considered.
• Proficiency in CAD, MS office or other design softwares.  Strong analytical and problem solving, critical thinking skills.
• Experiences in ultrapure water treatment, air treatment scrubbers, and thermal oxidizers are preferred.
• Good writing and communication skills.

The Senior Infrastructure Engineer is responsible to develop software based on design requirements and ensure software and subroutines are working to specification, program codes have conformed to standards and are delivered with quality meeting schedule and requirements. He will also implement systems in accordance to specifications & service level. Where relevant, perform the necessary system programming & configuration.

• Develop, test, and deploy scalable, secure, and high-performance web applications using Microsoft .Net framework, C#.Net, and ASP.Net

The Field Service Engineer is responsible for providing technical expertise and support at customer sites within the maritime industry. This role involves installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment and systems to ensure optimal performance and customer satisfaction.
