The Senior Quality Engineer, PQE is responsible to ensure the quality of both medical and non-medical products through rigorous inspections, implementation of quality control measures, and identification of areas for improvement. You will address production quality issues, collaborate with cross-functional teams to find root causes, and drive continuous improvement to build high-quality products that exceed customer expectations. This position reports to the Senior Manager Quality Assurance and is part of the Production Quality Engineering (PQE) team located in Singapore and will be an on-site role.

Description

We are looking for a senior Firmware Engineer with experience in power electronics to join us in Singapore, with opportunities to travel overseas.

In this role, you will be responsible for the design, development and testing of the firmware and embedded control algorithm for Xnergy wireless power and power conversion products. This includes various stages in a product’s life cycle such as concept/ architecture, prototyping, evaluation, production ready firmware, manufacturing, and maintenance.

You will work closely with the R&D team (hardware, firmware, and software engineers) to contribute to power converter design and shape the development of our future product strategies.

You are expected to provide theoretical knowledge and hands on skill in power electronics control and algorithm, firmware architecture, microcontrollers, power management strategies.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities

1. Design and implement control algorithms and embedded firmware for high-power converters based on DSP/MCU using C/C++ programming language and model-based design methodology in line with the applied normative and standards practice.
2. Apply knowledge of CAN, SPI, USB, I2C, RS485, RS232 communication protocols to product development.
3. Plan and execute testing strategy including bench testing, validation testing, unit testing, integration testing, and system level testing.

Requirements

About the Opportunity

The IT Engineer provides support to employees experiencing technical problems and performs troubleshooting, problem diagnosis, resolution, and escalations. As a Salvage Engineer, the world is your playground. You never know when or where a ship gets into trouble. That is why for a Salvage Engineer literally every day is different. It sounds like a cliché, but it is the reality. As a Salvage Engineer, you will have an adventurous job. When a ship is in distress, you will travel to the emergency scene with a multidisciplinary team. Once on-site, you work together with the team to get the ship systems up and running again. You are responsible for the vessel maintenance, trouble shooting, and on-site repairs of our salvage equipment. It is vital to salvage the vessel as quickly as possible. As well as working on actual ship salvage operations.

Your responsibilities as a Salvage Engineer

• As part of the mobile team, reports to the Salvage Master/Project Manager at site.
• When at base, assisting the technical manager and the operations manager to set up the right maintenance procedures and carry out the planned maintenance system of our equipment.
• Sharing knowledge with other engineers about complex ship's systems and maintenance solutions.
• Advising the salvage inspector and superintendent about how to break into existing ship's systems in order to use them during the salvage operation.
• Producing reports about the actions taken to get systems operational again. As you can expect from a leading international maritime service company, you will work with state-of-the-art equipment.
