Job Description
1.Programme design, planning and
implementation with school staff in engaging
Tier 2 (vulnerable) and Tier 3 (high-risk)
students:
• Co-design, co-implement, monitor and review
comprehensive Detention Programme on
Tuesdays and Wednesdays for students who
commit offences such as late coming,
truancy, tailored to the needs of students on
motivation, learning and behaviour
modification.
• Engage and manage students under
detention in meaningful activities and
conversations to inculcate values, motivate,
address and modify undesirable behaviours.
• Activities, resources and programme costs
should be included in the youth workers’
hourly cost.
2. Mentoring and Befriending:
• Establish positive and supportive
relationships with high-needs students,
offering guidance and mentorship to address
their specific challenges and concerns,
change behaviours, to inspire and be a role
model to students to connect them to
learning, peers, adults and school.
• Conduct one-on-one or small group
mentoring sessions to provide socialemotional support and build social-emotional
competencies.
3. Partnerships with Stakeholders:
• Work closely with the Student Development
Team in a coordinated approach to monitor
and support the well-being of high-need
students.
