Perform bug fixing and improvement of current application framework

Requirements:

Bachelor Degree in Computer Science & Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent

2-4 years of in-depth knowledge and experience in front-end and backend development

Ability to solve complex development problems and produce high-quality code while pushing the technical boundaries.

Proficiency in one or more programming languages; we use Python, Javascript and TypeScript.

Knowledge in frontend frameworks such as React, Next.JS, FastAPI, REST API or similar frameworks.

Experience with Docker/Kubernetes, DevOps, CI/CD, Github

Experience with Linux operating system (Ubuntu, RHEL, etc.)

Experience working on Agile projects and Agile methodology in general

Excellent problem solving, communications, and teamwork skills

DataForce by TransPerfect is looking for a highly motivated Machine Learning Engineer to join our onsite team on a fixed-term assignment in Singapore for an exciting new AI project!

Role Summary

As a Machine Learning Engineer, your responsibilities include working with language data and creating, categorizing, auditing and improving lexical data. To do this job successfully, you need solid programming skills and language fluency in Malay.

You will be part of an onsite team with diverse skills and backgrounds, who will help brainstorm and find innovative solutions to complex issues.

Main responsibilities:

• Work with language data and create, categorize, audit, and improve lexical data
• Develop natural language processing code specific to Malay language
• Provide input and suggestions in finding new approaches and new product features tailored to home market
• Find innovative solutions to complex issues
• Automate and integrate workflows from diverse systems
• Daily interactions with other teams working towards the same goal

Job requirements

• Familiar with programming languages (Python, Shell, Java or Swift)
• 1+ years of work or internship software engineering / development experience in diverse technical areas
• Proficiency in Malay language is required since you will work with Malay content (read and process documents, analyze and label data in Malay language)
• Data processing skills and knowledge
• Experience with one or more version control systems with a preference for Git
• Familiar with regular expression
• Basic team collaboration skills (email, messaging, calendar, etc.)
• Full-time onsite position

Education:

• B.S/MSc in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related fields

Preferred Requirements:

• Experience in natural language processing (NLP), machine learning, or related sub-fields is a plus
• iOS or Mac OS X development skills preferred if any
