• Interpret specifications, blueprints, job orders, and the company policies and procedures for Operators
• Direct and coordinate the activities of subordinates engaged in the production.
• Read and analyze charts, work orders, production schedules, and other records and reports to determine production requirements and to evaluate current production estimates and outputs.
• Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists worker in solving work problems.
• Initiate or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.
• Confer with other supervisors to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments.

Job Requirement:

• Comfortable working at Penjuru Pl, Jurong East area.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in the manufacturing sector.
• Minimum 1 year’s experience in team handling.
• Ability to effectively work with employees and supervisors.
• Good organizational and communication skills
• Should be able to work and interact with all level of personnel.
• Capable to perform basic math operations and trigonometry.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions

PREFERRED

• Prior experience of working with oil & gas industry manufacturing
• Prior experience of working with complex mechanical assembly involving machined components.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for purchasing & sourcing function to achieve best value for company, ensuring quality and on-time delivery from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Guide buyers and resolve issues with suppliers, vendors and subcontractors when needed.
• Monitor overall purchase requisitions and ensure all purchase orders are created timely.
• Negotiate and liaise with vendors on cost, order requirements, logistics and delivery.
• Monitor and expedite delivery with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery.
• Extensive usage of ERP systems for tracking job status and maintain records in the ERP system.
• Document processes, develop and implement best practices for area of responsibility.
• Analyse vendor on-time delivery and quality trends, propose improvements.
• Attend production meetings to ensure timely updates to production planning team.
• Responsible for coaching, training and developing staff for career growth.
• Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned.

• Diploma / Degree in Mechanical Engineering with relevant experience in procurement / planning functions.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in manufacturing industry.
• Familiar with ERP systems, exposure to job shop environment is an advantage.
