Assistant Restaurant Manager

Position Overview:

We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Restaurant Manager to support the Restaurant Manager in overseeing the daily operations of PULSII. As the Assistant Restaurant Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the management team in maintaining high service standards, managing the bar area, and ensuring guest satisfaction. Responsibilities:

• Assist the Restaurant Manager in leading and motivating a team of service staff and bartenders to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
• Support daily restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures, reservation management, and guest relations.
• Ensure that service standards are consistently maintained to exceed guest expectations.
• Assist in managing the bar and utilize your knowledge of wine, spirits, and cocktail preparation techniques and maintain beverage quality.
• Train and mentor staff in service techniques, product knowledge, and bar operations.
• Collaborate with the management team to implement and uphold restaurant policies and procedures regarding health, safety, and sanitation standards.
• Assist in coordinating between the kitchen and front-of-house operations to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints with professionalism and efficiency, striving to resolve issues to the guest's satisfaction.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years in a full-service restaurant with a similar role
• Knowledge of wine, spirits, and cocktail preparation techniques, with the ability to create innovative and delicious drinks.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
• Excellent customer service skills and a passion for creating exceptional dining experiences.
• Knowledge of dining etiquette preferred.
• Solid understanding of restaurant financials and experience with budgeting, cost control, and revenue management.

Position Purpose

• Provide guidance and day-to-day training to staff within assigned area

• Carry out day-to-day operations in managing floor control to maintain & improve quality, service cleanliness & ambience

• Manage and coordinate activities with people, products and equipment to maximize sales and profit

Responsibilities

Restaurant Operations

• Lead a team of service staff within assigned unit by allocating tasks and roles for individuals in the service team

• Check readiness of restaurant for service day and brief service crew on staffing roster for service day

• Manage customer flow and seating arrangement

• Oversee the service rendered by the team to ensure it meets the quality, service, cleanliness and values standards and to address lapses in service quality when necessary

• Manage cash floats, audit rolls, and provide technical troubleshoot for cash register errors when necessary

• Ensure documentation of all cash shortage and surplus in record book and to tally payment collection

Restaurant Management & Planning

• Act as point of escalation for service crew regarding service issues

• Resolve day-to-day operation issues as and when it occurs and to provide support as necessary to ensure service crew are able to carry out assigned task

• Lead investigation and resolution of all complex customer complaints and/or feedback in a timely and efficient manner

Quality Assurance & Control

• Enforce restaurant quality, service, cleanliness and value standards

• Monitor operations to ensure compliance with all safety procedures and guidelines in the restaurant

• Implement corrective actions to resolve unsafe and/or non-compliant conditions and behaviors regarding personal and food safety

People Management

• Conduct induction for new hires to provide them with the necessary skills and information to carry out roles and functions

• Provide training to encourage role rotation amongst service staff

• Train and monitor staff in the company SOPs (standard operating procedures)

Planning and Coordination: Develop a grouting plan, considering factors such as project requirements, design specifications, and safety guidelines. Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth execution.

Site Management: Supervise and manage grouting activities on-site, ensuring adherence to established procedures, quality standards, and safety protocols.

Equipment and Material Management: Ensure availability and proper utilisation of grouting equipment, tools, and materials. Coordinate with the procurement team for timely supply and maintain an inventory as needed.

Team Supervision: Lead a team of grouting technicians and workers, provide guidance and instructions, assign tasks, and monitor their performance. Foster a safe and productive work environment.

Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections of grouting works, verify compliance with design specifications, and implement quality control measures to achieve the desired outcomes.

Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of grouting activities, including work progress, material usage, incidents, and relevant documentation. Prepare reports as required by project management.

Supervisor Responsibilities:

• Must be comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions, including exposure to the hot sun.
• Ability to perform tasks that may result in hands getting dirty or handling construction materials directly.

Job requirement

• Must have a least 2 years of experience in F&B outlet, like food court, coffee shop and restaurant
• Assisting operation manager in daily operation, like roster planning, ordering of stock from supplier

Job Description

• Provide efficient, accurate preparation and sale of products for prompt customer service delivery in accordance to established SOP like taking customer order - clearing tables - require making coffee - perform cashiering at times - does mopping and cleaning of dining areas and dishwashing - any other duties which may be assigned from time to time
