Principal Responsibilities

• Have a deep understanding of the clients’ domestic and cross border hedging, investment and financing needs, and identify sales opportunities.
• Originate Markets business through providing cross-assets corporate treasury solutions
• Service a portfolio of MNC corporate clients ranging from transactional to strategic clients.
• Provide solutions across a range of products, ranging from vanilla to structured products.
• Build deep and strategic client relationships to enhance the HSBC franchise and generate value added business.
• Manage business relationships, including with transactional clients who may be serviced on eplatforms for flow based business.
• Manage the entire sales process including post trade processes.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including Relationship Managers and Cash and Trade product partners, to service client needs and improve share of wallet
• Use performance management and client development plans, to strengthen client relationships and identify cross-sell opportunities
• Understand and ensure compliance with all relevant internal and external rules, regulations and procedures that apply to the conduct of the business
• Deliver fair outcomes for our customers and ensure own conduct maintains the orderly and transparent operation of financial markets

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• Experience in Market Sales to corporates across flow and events related business
• Strong understanding of Markets products, covering foreign exchange instruments such as Spot, Options, Swaps, and Forwards, and interest rate derivatives and an ability to understand and manage a diverse and sometimes complex, product set
• Strong understanding of needs of corporates, the client base, the market regulations and key sales processes
• Hold relevant exams and qualifications to satisfy local and any cross border market regulations for non-advisory sales and trading activities.
• Good teamwork and to work collaboratively with other colleagues locally and across regions

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage and perform Freight Forwarding Sales and Business Development by soliciting new businesses in South East Asia region.
• Lead and oversee Business Development team to achieve targets/profits.
• Design and develop retention strategies for existing customers to better manager account management.
• Establish and develop sales strategies for the organization.
• Keep abreast and monitor Air & Ocean freight rate and market trends closely.
• Prepare and report the Sales team performance to management team.
• Team up with procurement team to secure competitive price and space.
• Manage/promote in-house solutions by adopting multiple marketing tools and strategies.

Requirements:

• Minimum Degree major in Business Administration, Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or related field.
• Minimum 12 years of relevant experience in global freight forwarding company with at least 5 years’ leadership experience in new business development.
• Deep understanding on the logistics business (Air, Ocean, Local Transportation, etc)
• Ability to lead negotiations.
• Strong network connection with local transportation / Air-industry / Ocean-freight service providers in South East Asia.
