Main Responsibilities:

· Assist with product design, mood boards, and staying updated on interior design trends.

· Create proposals for clients, focusing on home design furnishings.

· Visual merchandising (VM) of the showroom.

· Design and arrange store layouts and window displays for different campaigns.

· Assist clients with knob and handle designs tailored to their spaces.

· Support the floor team with sales and client interactions.

· Work with the sales team to propose design solutions to clients.

· Conduct fortnightly product presentations at business firms to showcase LavaVella’s offerings.

· Develop new knob and handle designs aligned with LavaVella’s brand aesthetics.

· Create 3D drawings for clients and custom designs to meet their specifications.

Design Tools/Software:

• Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop, and Canva.
• Comfortable with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PDF).

Sales Skills/Experience:

• At least 1 year of sales experience.

Education/Experience Level:

• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.

• Strong communication skills to effectively engage with clients.

Work Schedule:

• 5-day work week, including Saturdays.
• Sunday & Public Holidays off, with alternate Saturdays off.

We are seeking an inquisitive and tenacious Assistant Manager, Scientific Research to join our Scientific Research team at Suntory Beverage & Food Asia Pacific. In this role, you will be conducting commercial research to contribute to business. Commercial research refers to developing and validating the efficacies of new functional ingredients for new product development; investigating the efficacies of existing products as well as to discover bioactive compounds or markers that can be used for communication.

Job Responsibilities

• Propose, design and manage biological studies to demonstrate the efficacy and safety of food and/or health supplement products.
• Assess existing science, identify research gaps, and propose studies for new ingredient development for New Product Development (NPD) with deep understanding of consumer needs, health and ingredient trends.
• Assess existing science, identify research gaps and propose studies to support communication of benefits of health supplements and/or to meet health claim regulatory requirements.
• Work with external scientist/professionals/key opinion leaders on research collaborations.
• Manage various aspect of studies, including proposal of research topics, protocol design, budget management, timeline management, statistical analysis results review, manuscript writing, etc.
• Collaborate with cross-functional project teams including regional and local marketing, regulatory affairs and product development teams for business direction alignment and execution of biological studies.

Skills & Experience

• Doctor of Philosophy (PhD), Master, Bachelor Degree in Science, Life Science, Biology or Biochemistry. Other doctorate or Master’s Degree with relevant working experience will be considered.
• Commercial experience in food industry or nutritional products and industrial collaborations is highly advantageous.
• Possess common biological technical skills such as cell culture, western blotting, ELISA, real time PCR, microscopy, etc.
• Experience with cell culture work & screening platform using human/animal cells.
• Possess commercial acumen to link the research to business output
• Strong communication skills - able to explain the science in simple laymen’s terms to non-scientist stakeholders.
• Possess consumer-centric mindset.
• Chemistry skills such as fractionation, peptide isolation and identification highly advantageous.
• Having an understanding of the regulatory environment (especially in Asia Pacific) and health claim requirements for food and health supplements would be advantageous.

• Prepare experimental setups for all lab activities and trial the experiments and modify the experiments, when required, prior to the Science curriculum/enrichment lessons and Science CCA.
• Prepare additional apparatus for teachers who wish to carry out additional Science activities and be on hand to help out during Science Workshops conducted by the school.
• Assist with the purchase of materials required for experiments for both Science curriculum lessons/enrichment and Science CCA in alignment with budget requirements.
• Ensure and maintain the cleanliness of the two Science Labs.
• Conduct stock-taking of all apparatus and resources belonging to the Science department at least twice a year.
• Maintain a logbook for entry of classes into and out of the Science labs.
• Maintain a logbook for entry of any broken/condemnation of apparatus and chemicals for the Science labs.
• Preparation of the Outdoor and Indoor Hydroponics/Urban Farming
• Facility for planting and harvesting followed by cleaning of the facility in preparation for the next harvest.

Qualification:

• An ‘O’ Level qualification and basic knowledge of IT applications (e.g. MS Word and Excel).

• Able to multi-task and able to handle a fast paced environment.
• Preferably at least 3 years of working experience in a school environment and have some basic knowledge of laboratory, chemicals and apparatus.
• Candidates without relevant school experience but who possess comparable skills and qualifications will also be considered.

Your day-to-day

• Direct, guide and manage room attendants and public area attendants to ensure all guestrooms, public areas and heart-of-house locations are maintained to the highest standard of cleanliness and tidiness for safety and comfort for all guest at all times.
• Alert, well informed about the Hotel and able to organize their work during peak hours rapidly by maintaining a constant standard of performance regardless of volumes of business in operations.
• Assist in job training, grooming standard, conduct of colleagues and ensures Housekeeping colleagues act according to Hotel rules and regulations as well as the established policies and procedures
• Maintains the highest standard of personal hygiene and appearance at all times by him/her and colleagues assigned to him/her.
• Supervise, train & retain existing and new Colleagues with a standardized method-on the job training to ensure exceptional cleaning standards are met.
• Attends and represents his/her colleagues at Housekeeping meetings, maintaining effective communication within the department.
• Ensures all colleagues assigned to him/her, starts on time, in clean uniforms, shoes and name badges, understanding they represent the Hotel.
• Ensure that assigned hours of work are maintained and report any misconduct immediately to the direct manager.
• Is responsible for proper room and/or public area attendant assignments, full accomplishment of tasks, allocation of extra duties to the number of rooms credited upon.
• Ensures room and public area attendants are following room cleaning priorities strictly.
• Ensures VIP rooms are correctly supplied, checked and released on time to Front Office.
• Inspects each room on his assigned floor, whether Vacant, Occupied, Check Out or Out Of Service as well as corridors, service areas and emergency staircases.
• Report maintenance issues within their assigned area to Housekeeping office immediately and follows up upon completion.
• Notifies Executive/Assistant Executive Housekeeper when damage or theft to the Hotel property has occurred, whether caused by guests or colleagues.
• Ensures lost & found property is handed into Housekeeping immediately without any delay.
• Ensures all fire staircases, services areas and fire exits remain obstruction free.
• Supervisors to communicate with Coordinator/supervisor in Housekeeping office and peer on room issues such as maintenance defects, cleanliness not up to standard, whereby the room is not ready to release as vacant clean/inspected.
• Floor Supervisor at all time to communicate directly with coordinator, Supervisor or Assistant Executive Housekeeper.
• Advises Assistant Executive Housekeeper/Executive Housekeeper if colleague performance is not satisfactory for coaching and performance management.
• Flexible to work different shifts and assumes other duties assigned by the Assistant Housekeeper from time to time.
