Prof Derek Hausenloy’s laboratory aims to discover new treatments for protecting the heart from acute ischaemia/reperfusion injury and for preventing heart failure. We use a translational approach to research comprising cell models, rodent models (atherosclerosis, acute myocardial infarction and heart failure), nanoparticles for delivery of therapeutics to the ischaemic heart, and clinical studies.

Job Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Analytical Chemistry, Chemical Biology, Pharmacology, or other related fields. Candidates with higher credentials may be considered for the Research Assistant (Senior) position.
Familiar with organic and analytical chemistry techniques, including chromatography and HPLC.
Demonstrated knowledge and possesses experience in cell and molecular biology techniques such as cell culture, western blot, RNA and DNA isolation, and RT-qPCR.
Strong interpersonal communication skills with excellent written, and computer skills.
Well-organised and excellent record keeping skills are a must.

Reporting to the Logistics Manager, the Logistics Assistant is responsible for coordinating general warehouse operations and activities including picking and packing, shipping and receiving deliveries, conducting stock checks, documenting warehouse transactions and records, and storing of inventory.
He is also responsible for the safe and efficient operation of handling equipment and spare parts. He is expected to work with internal and external stakeholders to accomplish his work.
Key Duties and Responsibilities

2) Update all receiving and issuing transactions into the inventory management system
3) Check the quality of materials and monitor product lifespan
