JOB SUMMARY
This role is an integral part of the finance department in Kalsec Singapore. The main purpose of the role is to work alongside the Finance Director APAC to: -
- Ensure financial recording, financial control and management accounting are of a high-quality standard for local statutory compliance.
- Play a key part in the preparation of statutory financial statements and monthly management pack.
- Be one of the main advanced users on Info M3 for financial transactions.
- Review and perform banking activities on the corporate banking platforms.
- As part of the global finance team, contribute to system and process reviews and improvements.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Ensure all financial transactions on the sales ledger, purchase ledger, bank/cashbook, fixed assets register, nominal ledger and inventory ledger are recorded accurately and timely on our ERP system, Infor M3.
- Review and perform banking activities on our corporate banking websites including initiating or authoring monthly payment run for all bank accounts.
- Responsible for full range of costing matters of the Singapore manufacturing plant.
- Review the manufactory’s current cost variance and work with production department to resolve variance and costing issues.
- Report and analyse operational variances including production order variances, purchase price variances, manufacturing variances inclusive of manufacturing hours and material receipts.
- Perform month-end and year-end financial processes on Infor M3 relating to sales ledger, purchase ledger, bank/cashbook, fixed assets register, nominal and inventory ledger.
- Carry out Balance sheet control accounts reconciliation and post complex nominal journals;
- Review GST returns and file GST timely and accurately.
- Working with the APAC finance director to deal with government agencies in Singapore for statistic reporting, survey, import duty and GST matters.
- Work with internal stakeholders during budget and forecast period to provide financial analysis and advice.
- Assist APAC finance director to ensure a successful completion of the year end audit for both Singapore & Malaysia Branch.
- Assist APAC finance director to liaise with tax agent on the tax computation of the company and filing of form C for both Singapore & Malaysia Branch.
- Working closely with the APAC Finance Director in a number of projects to identify and implement business process and operational improvements.
- You will also perform such functions and duties as we may from time to time assign to you and fulfil any duties and responsibilities as are required by, inherent in, or consistent with your position or role.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS
- Diploma/Degree in Accountancy /ACCA/CMA with strong Accounting technical skills.
- Contacts with all internal departments, Head Quarters, customers, suppliers, and contractors.
- 3-5 years of relevant costing experience in manufacturing industry.
- M3 experience can be a helpful and added advantage.
- Intermediate level of Office Products including Excel, Word, SharePoint and Outlook.
