• Develops and implements a comprehensive three-year sales plan and cost budgets in collaboration with the VP/Director/Manager
• Communicates the plan to relevant teams and ensures alignment through regular reviews.
• Responsible for driving sales growth and increasing gross margin in line with objectives and strategic plans. Empowered to make pricing and margin decisions where applicable, with significant input at key customer accounts that impact business profits and overall market performance.
• Identifies and cultivates new business opportunities by prospecting and following up on leads and sample requests.
• Plays a key role in shaping the market strategy for the next 1-3 years, communicating plans to relevant stakeholders.
• Manages territory priorities and routes to market, identifying new trends and markets that will impact future business performance. Provides commercial guidance on product support and new product development.
• Provides prompt reports on business activities, identifying threats or opportunities in the designated market. Implements improvement plans and gathers market data on prices and competitor behavior to inform Sales & Marketing teams.
• Visits customers to promote and recommend products, coordinating projects and development work with them.
• Represents the company at exhibitions and undertakes marketing projects to promote new and existing products.
• May work from a home office and is expected to travel significantly, including overnight stays.
• Maintains regular communication with and influences relevant sales networks and external contacts to manage business in the market area, which may involve coaching and supporting agents and distributors.
• Makes decisions and judgments under time pressure and with incomplete information, addressing complex internal and external commercial, regulatory, technical, customer, production, agent/distributor, and intercompany issues.
• Expected to enhance the efficiency of sales systems and procedures.
• May include line management responsibility in some locations.

Requirements:

• Sales experience is required. International experience and knowledge of cultural differences are advantageous. Familiarity with regulations is preferred, and market knowledge is essential
• The ideal candidate should be IT literate with strong interpersonal and communication skills, negotiation skills, and the ability to plan and organize effectively
• Attention to detail is crucial.
• Additionally, candidates should demonstrate commercial awareness, excellent time management skills, adaptability, initiative, and strong decision-making abilities. Resilience and tenacity are important, as are numeracy skills and fluency in English.

Primary Responsibilities

• Delivery of new and existing business sales targets and plans to develop the Automotive Protection business in the countries that you are responsible for.
•Research of local markets, customers, distribution channels and network contacts to execute pipeline new business opportunities.
•Continuously monitor and ensure program progress is on target and any deviations from plan are identified and solutions implemented.
•Recommend and propose sales campaigns to deliver the business plan and ensure successful performance.
•Participate in meetings as required to support the development of strategy, provide updates on new business development, and launched programs.
•Provide communication for development or enhancement of the products
•Deliver timely decisions and problem solving solutions for customers and partners.
•Provide customer and market updates and other relevant input during budgeting process
•Establish planning and implementing strategies to build and retain customers, achieving production and profitability targets.
•Support the delivery of the regional marketing approach in line with the global automotive protection marketing strategy.
•To assess new sales opportunities together with individual country, regional and global underwriting teams, to ensure alignment with QBE’s strategy, underwriting appetite and business plan.
•Regularly review income and loss ratio performance on business, aligning with the underwriting team to make sure it is line with business plan. If necessary, take the remedial actions to ensure that we deliver on the business plan.
•To support the launch of new programs, ensuring all terms of cover, processes and procedures are implemented accurately within agreed timescales and in accordance with requirements.
•Ensure that all output adheres to the relevant legal, compliance & regulatory frameworks and corporate policies to minimise risk to the business.
•Identify and implement ‘best practice’ and process improvements
•Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders including customers, partners and colleagues to support constructive relationships and to ensure services provided continually support business needs.

• To monitor and administer all matters relating to the vessel's insurance.
• To arrange insurance-related certificates for each vessel.
• To assist in compiling documents, preparation of statements, correspondence and processing of claims, and in the monitoring of claim procedures.
• To assist in preparing/ collating defenses for liability claims.
• To pursue through the responsible department/office the identification and collection of claims-related accounts.
• To maintain claim records and statistics - Maintaining claims (all kinds) status records for the ships in the prescribed form.
• To coordinate agency appointments, arrange advance funding, and verify disbursement accounts.
• To initiate unannounced shore-based Drug and Alcohol Tests and Office initiated Alcohol tests as required.
• To arrange and make remittance arrangements as required.
• To maintain records/ filing and statistics for inspections.
• To assist the entire Operations department on administrative support.

Job Requirements:

• Preferably with working experience in maritime industry
• Sound PC knowledge, especially with MS Office
• Dynamic & able to work under pressure with excellent time management skills
• Good organization and coordination skills with due attention to detail
