Essential Functions (Responsibilities):

- Develop and grow key accounts in the Oil & Gas sector, Pharmaceutical and other industrial sectors contribute company growth objectives in Singapore.

- Provide technical sales support and consultation to clients for the sale of electrical products in order to develop business opportunities and penetrate clients.

- Perform all aspects of selling to maintain and develop new or existing customers including: take-offs, project quotations, closing orders, preparation of submittals and resolving customer problems.

- Meet or exceed budgeted sales and gross margin targets with assigned accounts.

- Focus on identifying specific technical requirements of customers while simultaneously collecting commercial and competitive information associated with each account

- Cultivate effective long-term relationships at all levels of the customer organization.

- Attain expert knowledge of products, electrical goods market and competition.

Qualifications/Requirements:

- Formal Electrical Engineering qualification (Diploma/Certification)

- Strong technical and commercial background.

- Minimum 1 to 2 years of proven sales experience to industrial customers

- Electrical product knowledge

- Very strong consultative selling, interpersonal, and negotiation skills

- Resourceful and results-oriented.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Sales Leadership:Develop and implement the company’s sales strategy in alignment with business goals. Identify new market opportunities and formulate strategies to penetrate and grow market share. Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to refine sales tactics.
2. Team Management:Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to achieve individual and collective sales targets. Establish performance metrics and conduct regular evaluations. Provide training and development opportunities to enhance team capabilities.
3. Revenue and Target Achievement:Set sales targets and ensure the team meets or exceeds these goals. Monitor sales performance and implement corrective actions when necessary. Develop pricing strategies and negotiate contracts with key clients.
4. Client Relationship Management:Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key clients and stakeholders. Oversee the development of client retention and loyalty programs. Address and resolve client concerns in a timely and professional manner.
5. Collaboration and Cross-Functional Coordination:Work closely with marketing, product development, and customer service teams to ensure alignment on business objectives. Provide feedback to the product team based on customer insights and market demand. Represent the sales team in executive meetings and contribute to company-wide decision-making.
6. Financial and Budgetary Oversight:Manage the sales department’s budget, including forecasting and financial planning. Ensure profitability through cost-effective sales strategies and resource allocation.
7. Reporting and Analytics:Generate and present sales reports, forecasts, and performance metrics to senior management. Leverage data and analytics to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
• Experience: Proven track record of success in a senior sales leadership role, with 7+ years of experience in sales and 3+ years in management.
