Responsibilities:

• Accountable for existing and new business activities for domestic market and/or assigned territories which includes attending to customers’ communications on pricing, contract negotiations, tender submissions, technical support and coordination of major issues.
• Accountable for sales, profitability and growth and ensures the company’s working capital objectives are met.
• Responsible for supporting and helping customers to be successful in achieving their operational, quality and productivity goals. Optimizes the company’s internal processes to provide reliable and differentiating services to customers.
• Develop and strengthen good working relationships with accounts and business partners at all levels. Accountable for active management of relationship with Key Accounts for long-term profitable and sustainable growth.
• For customers to be handled by a third party, until key partner(s) are identified and a permanent business model formulated, to mentor and support the Senior Commercial Specialist (SCS) on customers.
• Accountable for compliance within his/her scope of work and/or influence.
• Ensure that customers’ forecasts are conveyed to operations, working with Logistics Department.
• Gather and report updated market information with internal stakeholders in a timely manner; This shall include but not limited to development of customer portfolio, competition identifications, new business opportunities and development of market landscape.

• Responsible for commercial activities and new assignments as assigned by the immediate Manager from time-to-time.

Requirements:

• Diploma and above in any discipline, preferably in Science, Chemistry, Chemical, Environmental or Engineering areas.
• Minimum 5 years of technical sales and marketing of chemical products/ solutions, preferably dealing with MNCs, into any of the following areas:

- Water treatment & power utilities and companies,

- Semiconductor, wafer fab manufacturing plants,
- Chemicals and petrochemicals manufacturing plants,
- Food and pharmaceuticals manufacturing plants, and
- Marine sectors

• Proficient in MS Word, Excel & PowerPoint
• Additional experience in sourcing, procurement, product management, contract negotiation and customer service will be highly preferred but not a must.
• Able to make regular customer calls and visits plants (which may require physical fitness to walk/climb stairs of reasonable distance/height) when required.
• Understanding of technical terms and concepts - especially related to chemical, chemistry, water treatment and fluid transfer.
• Proficiency in writing, reading and speaking of English language is a must. Chinese, Malay and/or other languages will be highly preferred for communication with customers from various backgrounds.
• A valid driving license and own vehicle will be preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities:

• To prepare, maintain, communicate, and coordinate diverse commercial administration in support of all sales activities.
• Materials will include price lists, quotations, product specifications, datasheets, Technical Service Enquiries, sales master data, and other documentation as required by systems, companies, agents an customers
• Maintain, communicate and coordinate internal online ordering platform.
• Support and communicate closely with other departments, maintaining records of sales data and promotly assist customer enquiries. 
• Own the customer relationship for designated customers/territories including price setting within defined limits.
• Prepare commercial quotations in response to new customer enquiries. Informing customers of pricing and otl contractual conditions within agreed guidelines.
• Ensure compliance with agreed procedures and take the decision when to escalate issues for approval plan and prioritise daily workload within guidelines.
• Regular direct contacts with customers requiring appropriate commercial sensitivity and communication style of the customer relationship.
• Broad knowledge of systems & processes (e.g. ERP, CRM). Identify opportunities for efficiency improvement administrative systems

Requirement:

• Minimum Diploma in any relevant.
• Technologically savvy – proven experience as administrator of online ordering platform/ system, able to navigate backend settings and troubleshoot order variance.
• Experience working in MNC organizations and managing multiple stakeholders.
• Contract role for 1 year, subject to renewable and convertible to permanent.
