Accounts Payable Assistant - Singapore

We are seeking an Accounts Payable Assistant to join our finance team in Singapore. The Accounts Payable Assistant will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely and accurate processing of all accounts payable transactions. This position requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately review and process invoices received from vendors, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures. Verify the accuracy of invoice details, including pricing, quantities, and payment terms.
• Prepare payment runs and process payments to vendors in a timely manner. Handle various payment methods, such as checks, electronic transfers, and other payment platforms.
• Maintain positive relationships with vendors and respond to their inquiries regarding payment status or other accounts payable matters promptly and professionally.
• Perform regular reconciliations of vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Assist with month-end closing activities, which includes AR and Banking reconciliations
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of accounting transactions while ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and company policies.

Requirements:

• A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent qualification. A diploma or degree in accounting or finance is preferred but not mandatory.
• Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Assistant or in a similar finance role is advantageous.
• Familiarity with accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in using accounting software and MS Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must be able to converse in English and Mandarin in order to liaise with Chinese counterparts.

• Washing of dishes, cutleries and tools.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace following procedural guidelines with high standards of cleanliness and sanitation.
• Prepare food ingredients, salad toppings, dressings, and ready-to-go items with attention to freshness and presentation.
• Cutting and cooking of grains, vegetables and meat products.
• Labelling of prepared ingredients.
• Ensure food quality and safety standards are met at all times.
• Assist with cashier duties and help restock the salad station and grab-and-go area as needed.
• Assist with packing of food for deliveries.

• Assisting with the planning, coordination within our organization
• Work on Permit to Operate and obtaining Approvals as required
• You will work closely with senior project managers to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget
• Assist in developing project plans, timelines
• Coordinate project activities and resources to ensure timely delivery
• Monitor project progress and report on key metrics
• Identify and mitigate project risks and issues
• Support senior project managers and site staffs
• Support the project team in administrative tasks and documentation
