• Responsible for planning, implementing and overseeing safety-related issues at the PPVC Fit-Out Factory
• Ensure all works adhere to safety rules and safe work practices as well as safety legislation
• Liaise with different departments on all safety and health matters
• Identify any situation that is potentially unsafe and/or hazardous in nature, feedback to Manager and team, investigate and recommend any corrective actions
• Oversee and direct the entire process of safety analysis including any accident investigation

About the Role

• Provide advice and assistance to the Workplace Safety and Health Manager for the development, implementation, review and revision of health and safety sections of the Project Execution Plan.
• Participate in project risk assessments and recommend measures to eliminate or minimize any foreseeable risk to any person.
• Investigate and report on all work-related injuries/illnesses and near misses.
• Report, investigate and implement corrective and/or preventive actions resulting from identification of hazards, near-miss incidents and work related illness/injury.
• Report on health and safety matters to the Project Manager and/or Workplace Safety and Health Officer including preparation of incident and loss statistics and monthly summary reports.
• Work to achieve the project safety and health targets.
• Ensure regular site safety inspections of site activities and plant & equipment are carried out.
• Ensure all Singapore statutory requirements for Health and Safety are complied with by the project team.
• Assist in conducting Site Safety Induction for new employees; and ensure they are trained in their roles and responsibilities and are competent to perform the duties allocated to them.
• Organise, plan and conduct weekly toolbox meetings, and ensure pre-start meetings and other safety group meetings are carried out.
