Job Summary

We have an exciting opportunity within Fugro Marine Geotechnical department with the aim to become a project manager in the near future. The Project Coordinator (PC) is a member of the Marine Geotechnical Service Line and is involved in projects in the Asia Pacific Region.

About the role

The PC will work together with the Project Managers and is responsible for:

• Compliance with Fugro’s and client’s Document Control procedures and keeping the Master Document Registers up to date.
• Setting up and amending Project schedules for the Project Managers.
• Preparation of Project Documentation, like Project Execution Plans, any required bridging documents, which need to comply with the Fugro Document Standard (FDS).
• Financial Data input and verification of correct information in our Fugro Enterprise Resource Planning software, IFS,
• If required, coordinating with procurement in projects.
• Minute of Meetings and/or Action Tracker preparation.
• The PC provides a supporting role to projects through the coordination of project related activities, such as logistics, resourcing, training, progress updates, project tracking, preparation of meeting minutes amongst others.
• The PC works in accordance with the Fugro Project Management Handbook, ensuring that the agreed work is carried out efficiently.
• The goal is to grow in a role of becoming a Junior Project Manager, Assistant Project Manager and later as a Project Manager.

To become more familiar with the industry we are working in, which is geotechnical and marine industry related, the PC could go offshore on one of our projects as an Assistant Offshore Manager or could be seconded to the engineering department and/or laboratory.

About you

• Degree (B.Eng / B.Sc)
• Minimum of 3 to 5 years of working experience
• Language and proficiency - Fluent (written and verbal). Ability to communicate and articulate thoughts, complex issues effectively in a clear and concise way is a requirement.
• Advance understanding of MS Office applications

The Site Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a specified site, ensuring a positive and safe environment for staff, customers, and visitors. This role manages the staff and activities at the site, ensuring that all tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner.

Job Description

• Ensure compliance of operations with Workplace Safety and Health/Environmental Control regulations and statutory requirements
• Follow up with the committee site walk inspection findings for WSH Officer to close up the report and assisting WSH Officer on incident/accident investigation.
• Responsible for daily checklists are properly documented and carry out mass toolbox meeting once a week.
• Coordination with relevant site in-charge on improving the worksite safety and cleanliness.
• Ensure supervisors and workers are following safe work procedures compliance.
• Assist WSHO to organize monthly Safety Committee meetings and put up safety reports, including safety issues
• Compiles all relevant reports and records and carry out daily safety inspection
• Supervise all workers in providing safety measures and procedures in accordance with MOM Regulations
• Any other ad-hoc duties assigned by superior from time to time

Requirements

• Possess a Certificate in Safety Coordinators Course from approved institutes
• Min. 2 years relevant experience in Building and Construction Industry
• Proactive with excellent interpersonal skills and analytical ability
• Ability to work under pressures in a fast pace environment
• Experience in Private Housing and Civil Project will be advantageous.

Responsibilities:

• Arrange sub-contracted services and equipment when required, including rentals.
• Execute goods receiving for purchase requests.
• Assign service requests (SR) and work packages (WP) to field operatives.
• Schedule and dispatch field operatives.
• Maintain, update and manage all open jobs and their scheduling daily.
• Review completed job costs including manhours, expenses and materials before sending to invoice daily.
• Respond and cater for any customer needs and requests and escalate/delegate them as needed.
• Responsible for miscellaneous activities, equipment/building maintenance and answering phones.

Requirements:

• Diploma in Business Administration or relevant field.
